Hisense continues to lead the premium TV market with groundbreaking advancements in display technology, unveiling the next evolution of its proprietary RGB Mini-LED platform at CES 2026. Building on its 2025 debut as the first manufacturer to commercialize true RGB Local Dimming, the brand introduces RGB Mini-LED evo in the flagship 116UXS and expands standard RGB Mini-LED to more accessible models in the new UR9 and UR8 series.
The Flagship: 116UXS with RGB Mini-LED evo
At the pinnacle of Hisense’s 2026 lineup stands the 116UXS, the world’s first TV to feature RGB Mini-LED evo – a four-primary color backlight system that incorporates cyan alongside traditional red, green, and blue LEDs.
This addition targets the spectral range where human vision is most sensitive, enabling unprecedented nuance in gradients, tones, and transitions. The result is a more natural, lifelike image with deeper dimensional depth, reduced oversaturation, and exceptional detail in both shadows and highlights.
Powered by the advanced Hi-View AI Engine RGB, the 116UXS manages tens of thousands of dimming zones for precise control across dynamic content, achieving up to 110% BT.2020 color gamut coverage. Complementing the visual prowess is a premium Devialet Opéra de Paris-tuned 6.2.2 audio system, a nearly bezel-free design, and a slim 1.57-inch profile.
Democratizing RGB: UR9 and UR8 Series
Hisense is not reserving RGB technology for ultra-premium tiers. The new UR9 and UR8 RGB Mini-LED series mark the second generation of the architecture, now available in screen sizes from 55 to 100 inches – making high-performance RGB accessible to a wider audience.
These models deliver richer primaries, cleaner color separation, and superior tonal accuracy compared to conventional premium TVs. Engineered for real-world viewing, they maintain color integrity in bright environments and handle fast-motion content like sports and gaming with stability.
Refined industrial designs and Devialet-tuned audio further elevate the experience, positioning the UR9 and UR8 as premium yet approachable options in the evolving RGB landscape.
Accelerated innovation is a hallmark of Hisense, said Puneet Jain, Senior Director of Marketing and E-commerce at Hisense Canada. We’re bringing advanced technologies to market faster, scaling them sooner, and making them accessible to more homes.
As the originator of consumer RGB Mini-LED and a global top-tier TV shipper (No. 2 worldwide per Omdia, 2022-2024), Hisense is outpacing competitors still introducing first-generation RGB while already refining and expanding its own.
Visitors can experience the full 2026 RGB lineup at CES 2026, January 6–9, in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall Booth 17704.
For high-end enthusiasts seeking the ultimate in color precision and immersion, Hisense’s latest advancements set a new benchmark in Mini-LED performance.
