AV Concepts BV (“we”, “us”), the publisher of Best of High End, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have.
Who we are
AV Concepts BV, Willem II-straat 59, 3900 Pelt, Belgium. VAT BE 0524.806.028. For any privacy-related question, contact us at info@bestofhighend.com.
What data we collect
- Contact and enquiry forms: name, email address, and any other information you choose to include (e.g. company name, message content) when you contact us or request our advertising media kit.
- Website usage data: through Google Analytics, we collect anonymised/pseudonymised information about how visitors use the site (pages visited, approximate location, device type) — only if you have given consent via our cookie banner.
- Advertising interaction data: our advertising system (AdRotate) records how often the ads on this site are shown and clicked. To avoid counting the same visitor twice for the same ad, it briefly stores your IP address in a log on our own server. We use this only to produce aggregate performance figures for our advertisers: we do not build profiles, we do not follow you across other websites, and we never share or sell this log. This system sets no cookies of its own.
- Cookie consent records: when you answer the cookie banner, we store a record of the choice you made: the date and time, which categories you accepted or refused, and which version of our cookie policy applied at that moment. This record contains no IP address and no name. It is linked only to a random number stored in your browser (the
cmplz_idcookie), which tells us nothing about who you are. We keep it because the GDPR requires us to be able to demonstrate that consent was actually asked for and freely given. - Newsletter: your email address, the date you subscribed, and whether our emails are opened or clicked. We use this to send the newsletter and to see which topics readers find useful. You can unsubscribe from any email, or by contacting us.
- Embedded video: our articles contain videos hosted on YouTube. These do not load until you click them. Once you do, YouTube receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy.
We do not require an account to read this website, and we do not sell personal data.

Who we share it with
We use a small number of external services to run this website:
- Google Analytics / Google (GA4) — website usage statistics.
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam protection on our contact and advertising forms.
- Combell — our hosting provider, which processes data as part of running the website’s infrastructure.
- Brevo — our newsletter platform, which stores subscriber addresses and sends the emails on our behalf.
- YouTube / Google — video hosting. Data is only sent once you choose to play an embedded video.
- Instagram / Meta — the feed of our latest posts shown on parts of this site is loaded from Instagram, which may receive your IP address when it does.
These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA (for example to Google in the United States), this happens under the applicable EU safeguards (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
We do not share your data with any other third party unless required by law.
How long we keep it
- Contact and enquiry form submissions: kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and deleted afterwards unless we have a legitimate reason to keep them longer (e.g. an ongoing advertising relationship).
- Analytics data: retained for 14 months (our configured Google Analytics 4 retention period), after which it is automatically deleted.
- Advertising log (IP addresses): deleted automatically — impression records once they are older than one hour, click records once they are older than 24 hours. The clean-up runs twice a day, so in practice nothing in this log is more than about a day and a half old.
- Cookie consent records: kept for 730 days. A consent itself lasts 365 days; we keep the record for a further 365 days so that we can still answer a question or a complaint about a consent that was valid until recently. After that the record is deleted automatically.
- Newsletter subscriptions: kept until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing we keep your address on a suppression list so we do not contact you again by accident.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, use our data request form, or contact us at info@bestofhighend.com. We may ask for proof of identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
