Bang & Olufsen Martin Place is the brand’s new flagship store in Sydney, its second location in the city and fifth in Australia. The three-level, 162-square-metre space occupies a historic sandstone building in the CBD and opened during the brand’s centenary year, marking a hundred years since Bang & Olufsen was founded in Struer, Denmark, in 1925.
Bang & Olufsen Martin Place: A Store Designed Like a Home, Not a Showroom
Rather than a conventional retail layout, the Bang & Olufsen Martin Place store is built around dedicated listening rooms spread across three floors, each with its own tone. The entry level greets visitors in deep blue and red; the middle floor takes on earthier, warmer tones and is where the brand’s Atelier collection is shown; and the upper floor shifts to green, with a bar, a meeting space and a VIP listening room. Light oak, layered lighting and soft furnishings run throughout, in keeping with Bang & Olufsen’s long-standing approach of letting people experience its products in a residential-style setting rather than a typical shop floor.
Beolab 90 Titan Edition and a Custom Local Artwork
The store displays the Beolab 90 Titan Edition, the raw-aluminium, cover-free version of Bang & Olufsen’s flagship loudspeaker introduced for the brand’s centenary. Also on show is a commissioned piece by Australian artist Holly Terry, who reinterpreted the Beosound A9 speaker as a custom artwork for the space – a local touch tying the Martin Place opening to Bang & Olufsen’s Sydney presence specifically, rather than a straight import of the brand’s global store concept.
Pricing and availability
The Bang & Olufsen Martin Place store is open now at 14 Martin Place, Sydney NSW, operated in partnership with retail partner Design Collection Denmark. It is Bang & Olufsen’s second Sydney location alongside the existing Double Bay store, and its fifth in Australia.

The opening event on 17 September 2026 drew Australian and international guests, including GOT7 member Mark Tuan as a special guest, underlining how the Martin Place store is positioned as more than a sales floor for the brand’s centenary year in the region.

Bang & Olufsen’s design process, from initial sketch to finished product, is central to how the brand frames its retail spaces – the Martin Place store’s Atelier floor is built to let visitors see that craft up close, alongside pieces from the brand’s back catalogue such as the Beosound A9.
