Klipsch is giving its best-selling speaker family a ground-up refresh. The Reference Premiere III series makes its global debut at Audio Advice Live 2026 in Raleigh, North Carolina, replacing the outgoing Reference Premiere line with a focused, nine-model lineup built around a redesigned tweeter, refined cabinetry and tighter bass control.
A Refined, Nine-Model Lineup for Music and Home Theater
The Reference Premiere III series spans everything a two-channel or home-theater system needs: three floorstanding models (the Dolby Atmos-integrated RP-8263FA, the RP-8020F and the RP-6203F), two monitors (RP-6103M and RP-5103M), two center-channel speakers (RP-5203C and RP-5403C), and two surround speakers, including the Dolby Atmos-enabled RP-5103SA. Klipsch says the Reference Premiere III range was engineered to meet listeners “from high-performance two-channel music systems to immersive home theaters” without forcing a compromise between the two.
New Tractrix Tweeter and Cerametallic Woofers
Every Reference Premiere III model shares a new high-density axial Tractrix horn tweeter, built from an upgraded BMC material to cut resonance and flush-mounted to the cabinet to reduce wave breakup and widen off-axis response. Klipsch’s signature copper Cerametallic woofers still supply the low end, now paired with new metal outrigger feet that isolate the cabinet from the floor for tighter, cleaner bass. Compared with the outgoing generation covered in our Reference Premiere speakers overview, the RP III series leans further into structural rigidity with new knife-edge cabinets available in Ebony and Walnut finishes.
Built for Dolby Atmos and Klipsch Optimized Mode
The flagship RP-8263FA integrates upfiring height drivers for Dolby Atmos directly into a floorstanding cabinet, while the RP-5103SA can serve as an elevation speaker atop other RP III models or be wall-mounted. The series also pairs with Klipsch Reference Premiere Subwoofers, now available in compact sealed or full-size ported versions, and with compatible Onkyo A/V receivers through Klipsch Optimized Mode, which automatically applies tuned crossover settings for select models.
Pricing and availability
The Reference Premiere III series will be available in October through klipsch.com and Klipsch authorized retailers. Pricing starts at $449 for the RP-5403C center channel and tops out at $1,299.99 for the flagship RP-8263FA Dolby Atmos floorstanding speaker.
