Klipsch is tackling the oldest complaint in home theater — not enough room for a subwoofer — with three new compact subwoofers built to fit spaces the full-sized Reference Premiere line can’t. The RP-1600CSW, RP-1400CSW and RP-1200CSW make their global debut at Audio Advice Live 2026 in Raleigh, North Carolina, promising the output of Klipsch’s larger subs from sealed enclosures roughly half the size.
Half the Footprint, Full Reference Premiere Bass
Each of the three compact subwoofers pairs a rigid sealed enclosure with a high-excursion, front-firing Cerametallic woofer, a precision analog preamplifier and a high-efficiency Class D amplifier. Klipsch says the compact subwoofers extend low-frequency performance by up to a full octave versus their predecessors, adding impact to music, movies and gaming without requiring the floor space a traditional ported cabinet demands.
Three Compact Subwoofer Sizes for Every Room
The lineup scales from the 12-inch RP-1200CSW up through the 14-inch RP-1400CSW to the 16-inch RP-1600CSW, giving buyers a compact subwoofer sized to their room rather than a one-size-fits-all box. All three share the Reference Premiere family’s scratch-resistant Ebony vinyl finish, signature copper accents, rounded edges, shock-absorbing rubber feet and a floating fabric grille, so they sit visually alongside the new Reference Premiere III speakers announced alongside them at Audio Advice Live.
Connectivity and Wireless Integration
Rear-panel controls include adjustable crossover, phase and gain settings with high-contrast labeling for easier setup, plus line-level and LFE RCA inputs alongside a dedicated wireless input compatible with the optional Klipsch WA-2 Wireless Subwoofer Kit. Both the RCA and wireless inputs can run simultaneously, letting a single compact subwoofer serve more than one system in the same room.

The Reference Premiere Compact Subwoofers arrive in November through klipsch.com and Klipsch authorized retailers. The RP-1200CSW is priced at $849.99, the RP-1400CSW at $1,099.99, and the flagship RP-1600CSW at $1,499.99.
