Hisense Scales the PX4 Pro Up to a 200-Inch Home Cinema

Hisense's new TriChroma Laser Cinema scales up to 200 inches with FreeSync Premium gaming and Devialet sound built in

Hisense PX4 Pro Laser Cinema

Hisense has pulled the Hisense PX4 Pro out of its CES preview cabinet and put it on sale, positioning the TriChroma Laser Cinema as the brand’s answer to anyone who wants a proper home theatre screen without building a dedicated room around it. The Hisense PX4 Pro throws a 3,500 ANSI lumen image anywhere from 80 to 200 inches, and Hisense is pitching it as equally comfortable with daytime football as it is with a blacked-out movie night.

A Cinema Engine Built for More Than Movies

At the core of the Hisense PX4 Pro sits the brand’s LPU Digital Laser Engine 3.0, which Hisense says delivers 118% coverage of the BT.2020 colour space — a wider palette than most living-room projectors attempt, let alone hit. Hisense pairs that engine with its own Dynamic Grayscale Technology and an enhanced Iris Lens, both aimed at pulling detail out of dark scenes and HDR content without crushing shadows into a flat black mass, a weak spot that has historically separated budget laser projectors from genuinely cinematic ones. It is this combination, Hisense argues, that lets the PX4 Pro stand in for a proper cinema screen rather than just a bigger television.

Gaming Gets the Laser-Cinema Treatment Too

Where the Hisense PX4 Pro breaks from the usual home-cinema script is gaming. Hisense is calling it the world’s first TriChroma Laser Cinema certified for FreeSync Premium, with 1ms input lag, a 2K 240Hz refresh rate, variable refresh rate support and Dolby Vision Gaming all built in — numbers that would be notable on a gaming monitor, let alone a 200-inch laser projector. A future VIDAA software update is also set to add Xbox Cloud Gaming, letting owners stream console-grade titles straight to the big screen without a console sitting underneath it.

Living With a 200-Inch Screen

Hisense frames the Hisense PX4 Pro less as a cinema-room centrepiece and more as a flexible household screen: sports and family viewing by day, gaming in the evening, and films once the lights go down, all from the same unit. That everyday-use framing is the clearest signal yet that laser ultra-short-throw projectors are angling to replace, not just supplement, the living-room TV for anyone chasing genuine scale. Hisense first teased the design at CES 2026 alongside the XR10 Laser TV, and the PX4 Pro now arrives as the production-ready version of that preview.

Compact Footprint, Built-In Devialet Audio

Despite throwing a screen as large as 200 inches, the Hisense PX4 Pro’s own footprint stays modest: Hisense lists the unit at roughly 540mm wide and 288mm deep, with a 142mm chassis height that keeps it low enough to sit on a regular media console rather than demanding a dedicated projector shelf. Hisense also carries over its partnership with Devialet for the PX4 Pro’s built-in sound system, a pairing the brand has used on previous laser-cinema models to avoid forcing buyers straight into a soundbar purchase on day one.

Pricing and availability

Hisense’s Canadian media release confirms the Hisense PX4 Pro is available now, but stops short of publishing a retail price; Best of High End will update this article once Canadian and international pricing is confirmed through Hisense’s retail channels. The PX4 Pro joins Hisense’s existing laser-cinema line-up, and full product details are listed on Hisense Canada’s website.

Publisher

Marco Lisi is the publisher of Best of High End, part of AV Concepts BV. His path into audio started early: as a teenager he was drawn into the world of free radio, presenting shows and living immersed in music every day. In his early twenties he ran his own production studio for five years, creating jingles and commercials — hands-on training in sound design, pro-audio workflows, and critical listening through studio monitors that still shapes how he evaluates gear today. He also spent years DJing in clubs before moving into publishing, first at two earlier online magazines before founding Best of High End. His hi-fi and home cinema passion was inherited from his father, an inveterate system-swapper. Marco's first setup — a confirmation gift — paired AKAI separates with entry-level Bowers & Wilkins speakers, a brand he stayed loyal to for years as his system grew from stereo into full surround and home cinema. Like many enthusiasts, he went through an extended "audiophile" phase chasing the next upgrade, before settling into a more grounded view: gear as a means to enjoy music and film, not an end in itself. Years of critical listening have given him a well-trained ear — the ability to characterize a system or pinpoint a change in the chain quickly and accurately. Just as important, his teaching background (a Belgian "regent" degree in Dutch language) gives him the tools to translate those listening impressions into clear, readable writing.
