British brand TrueTone has introduced the T1 Signature, the flagship model in its new T1 Series of active wireless speakers. Built to deliver true high-performance sound without a rack of separates, the TrueTone T1 Signature packs amplification, streaming and DSP into a single compact cabinet, finished in oak, mahogany, white or black.
The TrueTone T1 Signature is sold, priced and tuned strictly as a pair, with one speaker acting as wireless host and the other as client over the WiSA protocol, so left and right channels stay perfectly in step without a single cable between them.
Tri-Amplified Power and a Coaxial Driver
Inside each TrueTone T1 Signature cabinet sit three discrete amplifier channels totalling 600W: two 250W channels drive a pair of opposing 7-inch bass drivers, while a third 100W channel feeds a custom coaxial unit combining an aluminium midrange cone with a textile dome tweeter. TrueTone says the opposing bass drivers reduce midrange excursion and help limit intermodulation distortion, with a preliminary maximum output of 102 dB SPL and a frequency range of 33 Hz to 20 kHz. A digital crossover separates the bass drivers from the coaxial unit, while an active analogue crossover splits midrange and treble, with FIR filtering used to keep frequency response linear without introducing phase distortion.

Wireless Freedom, With a Wired Alternative
The TrueTone T1 Signature connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for high-resolution streaming, with planned compatibility for Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, AirPlay 2, Roon, UPnP/DLNA and internet radio via Airable as each service completes certification. For sources that aren’t wireless, the cabinet offers analogue RCA, optical and an eARC-compatible TV input, plus a subwoofer output with 12V trigger. The WiSA host-client link keeps the pair synced wirelessly, while TrueLink offers a single-Ethernet-cable wired alternative for rooms where wireless isn’t an option. Speakers of this active, amplifier-and-streamer-in-one design occupy a similar niche to the active bookshelf category more broadly, a segment bestofhighend.com has covered before.

Built to Last, in Four Finishes
TrueTone built the T1 Signature cabinet from FSC-certified MDF with reinforced internal bracing and acoustic damping, in a modular design the company says is meant for longevity rather than a fixed product cycle. Buyers choose between four finishes – oak, mahogany, white and black – and can add one of three optional grille patterns (Wave, Diamond or Scale), sold separately. A Bluetooth remote is included, and the TrueTone T1 Signature receives over-the-air firmware updates, with a companion T1 Control app for iOS and Android still in development ahead of launch.

Pricing and availability
The TrueTone T1 Signature is priced from €5.795 a pair in black or white, and from €5.995 a pair in oak or mahogany. Each pair is assembled to order in Europe, and comes with free EU, UK and NZ shipping, a 45-day home trial and a 3-year warranty. Grilles and the T1 Control app are sold and released separately. Full details are available via TrueTone’s own website.
