Sony expands its wireless headphone range from top to bottom with three new models: the flagship Sony WH-1000XM4C at the premium end, and the WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 refreshing the brand’s mid-range and entry-level lineup. Rather than replacing the current WH-1000XM6 flagship, the Sony WH-1000XM4C sits alongside it as a new take on the well-liked WH-1000XM4, giving shoppers who loved that model’s sound and design a version tuned for today’s listening habits.
Sony WH-1000XM4C: A Familiar Favorite, Retuned
The Sony WH-1000XM4C builds directly on the WH-1000XM4, one of the most highly rated headphones in Sony’s 1000X series since the line launched in 2016. It keeps the noise cancelling the series is known for along with the WH-1000XM4’s timeless over-ear design, but Sony has retuned the sound to match current listening preferences and added a 10-band equalizer for more granular personal EQ adjustments. The Sony WH-1000XM4C is available in Black, Platinum Silver and a new Lavender finish, and its lightweight, foldable design keeps it easy to pack for travel or a daily commute.

WH-CH730N: Noise Cancelling Moves Down the Range
Below the Sony WH-1000XM4C, the WH-CH730N brings effective noise cancelling to a more accessible price point, using Sony’s Dual Noise Sensor technology. Compared with its predecessor, it gains a new lightweight, foldable design, improved call quality through Precise Voice Pickup Technology — which pairs beamforming microphones with AI-driven noise reduction — and up to 50 hours of battery life, with a 3-minute quick charge delivering an extra hour of playback. The WH-CH730N also supports LE Audio, Multipoint Connection and Fast Pair/Swift Pair, and now comes in a new Beige finish alongside White, Pink, Blue and Black.

WH-CH530: Entry-Level Comfort in Six Colors
At the entry point of the range, the WH-CH530 is built for everyday wireless listening: online classes, calls and casual streaming. It now offers up to 55 hours of battery life, with a 3-minute quick charge good for 90 minutes of playback, along with AI-driven noise reduction for clearer calls. The compact on-ear design uses a soft headband for extended wear, adjustable EQ settings and a five-level volume limiter to help protect hearing. The WH-CH530 is available in six colors, including two new additions, Cobalt and Coral, alongside Mint, Pink, White and Black.

Pricing and availability
The Sony WH-1000XM4C is available from September 2026 in Black, Platinum Silver and Lavender for €250. The WH-CH730N is available from September 2026 in Black, White, Pink, Beige and Blue for €120. The WH-CH530 is available from September 2026 in Black, Cobalt, White, Pink, Coral and Mint for €70.
