ORTVIK, the Czech Republic-based design-build studio renowned for its bespoke acoustic surfaces, has officially launched in the United States. The brand makes its North American debut at AXPONA (Audio Expo North America) 2026 in Schaumburg, Illinois, where it aims to elevate the intersection of high-end audio and architectural design.
Represented exclusively in the U.S. by Aldo Filippelli and his Luxury Audio Group, ORTVIK joins an elite portfolio that includes Estelon, Vitus Audio, and Crystal Cable. This partnership signals a shift beyond traditional acoustic treatments, positioning the listening room itself as an integral extension of the audio system.
The Room is the Instrument
Rooted in Central European Bohemian artistry and evolving from the foundational work of Ekustik, ORTVIK was founded by brothers Petr and David Hortvik. The company approaches acoustic design with meticulous precision, transforming integrated walls, sculptured ceilings, functional art pieces, and acoustic furniture into high-performance components tuned to the millimeter.
The room is not separate from the sound. The room is the instrument, says Petr Hortvik, Co-founder of ORTVIK. We don’t merely ‘treat’ a space. We orchestrate the environment around the sound. Our goal is to bridge the void between architectural intent and acoustic reality, creating a singular fusion of performance and form for the most discerning listeners.
A New Paradigm: Sound as Light
ORTVIK challenges the conventional view of acoustics as a corrective afterthought, instead advocating for its integration as a core design principle—much like lighting or structural elements.
No architect worth their salt would design an environment without considering how light transforms a space throughout the day, explains David Hortvik, Co-founder. We believe sound deserves that same respect. We want to empower architects and designers to treat acoustics as a first principle of design—as vital as lighting or structural integrity. We are here to lead that change, ensuring acoustic wellbeing is woven into the very DNA of every project from the first sketch.
Signature Acoustic Palette and Bespoke Commissions
At AXPONA 2026, ORTVIK will present its sophisticated ‘acoustic palette,’ featuring precision-engineered solutions such as the Waveform Diffuser, the new mobile Waveform Tower, the iconic Waterdrop Diffuser, the Alignment Absorber, and The Trap series. Each element is analytically modeled and objectively measured for proven acoustic performance.
These systems form the technical foundation for fully custom projects. Working as a collaborative design partner, ORTVIK translates clients’ spatial requirements and aesthetic visions into unique, one-of-a-kind realizations—whether for private listening rooms, high-end home cinemas, or sophisticated commercial spaces. Materials include furniture-grade solid hardwoods paired with high-density recycled PET cores, delivering visual elegance that matches sonic purity.
Strategic U.S. Partnership
The alliance with Luxury Audio Group ensures ORTVIK reaches the most discerning audiophiles and design professionals in the Americas.
Adding ORTVIK to our portfolio is a definitive moment for Luxury Audio Group, states Aldo Filippelli, Founder and President of Luxury Audio Group. In all my years representing the world’s finest audio marques, I have rarely seen this level of European craftsmanship paired with such profound technical rigor. No one else is doing what ORTVIK does—moving beyond panels or wall treatments into the realm of bespoke architectural acoustics. We are bringing a heritage of Bohemian mastery to the U.S., and I am thrilled to introduce this level of acoustic artistry to our network of dealers and enthusiasts.
ORTVIK’s U.S. entry marks a significant milestone for the high-end audio and architectural communities, offering a holistic approach where stunning design and reference-level acoustics coexist seamlessly.
