The Monitor Audio Creator Series architectural line has expanded with a complete in-wall subwoofer and amplification system, built around three performance tiers so integrators can match bass output to a room rather than force one design to do everything. Each tier bundles a purpose-built in-wall subwoofer, a dedicated rear enclosure and a matched DSP amplifier, with the new IA500-S amplifier anchoring the two entry tiers and the more powerful IA750-2 driving the flagship. All models arrive completely hidden behind the wall, aimed at media rooms, multi-room installations and dedicated home cinemas that want deep bass without a visible subwoofer cabinet.
Monitor Audio Creator Series: Tier 1 and Tier 2 Performance
The entry-level WS1-W10 System combines a 10-inch C-CAM bass driver with a dedicated rear enclosure and the IA500-S amplifier, and is built for installation flexibility — the subwoofer can be fitted with or without its enclosure, supporting both pre-construction and retrofit projects. A low-profile magnetic grille, Tri-Grip II dog-leg fixings and supplied isolation brackets keep the installation discreet and secure. Stepping up, the WS2-W12 System swaps in a low-profile, high-excursion 12-inch C-CAM RST II driver and an optimised acoustic enclosure, still paired with the IA500-S, for greater output and refinement in premium pre-construction installations.
Tier 3: Reference-Level Output
At the top of the range, the WS3-W12 System pairs the same high-excursion 12-inch C-CAM RST II driver with a precision-engineered hybrid metal-and-wood rear enclosure and the 750-watt IA750-2 DSP amplifier, aimed at the most demanding cinema installations that need reference-level low-frequency extension and control without sacrificing the completely hidden form factor the rest of the range shares.
IA500-S: Dedicated DSP Amplification
Central to Tier 1 and Tier 2 is the IA500-S, a dedicated 500-watt Class-D DSP amplifier purpose-built for the Monitor Audio Creator Series in-wall subwoofers rather than adapted from a general-purpose design. It delivers 250 watts into 6 ohms for the WS1-W10 or up to 500 watts into 3 ohms for the WS2-W12, with three preset EQ modes (Impact, Movie, Music), a 32-250Hz low-pass filter, phase control and both RCA and balanced LFE connections. A 12V trigger input, auto-on music sensing and rack-mount brackets round out an installation-focused feature set, backed by Monitor Audio’s 5-year warranty on streamers and amplifiers.
The full range is designed to integrate with the existing Monitor Audio Creator Series architectural loudspeakers, giving integrators a matched low-frequency partner for each performance tier rather than a one-size-fits-all subwoofer, an approach similar to how other architectural speaker lines have moved toward tiered, purpose-matched systems. All Monitor Audio Creator Series In-Wall Subwoofer & Amplification models are available from January 2027, priced (EU) at €1,750 for the WS1-W10 System, €2,300 for the WS2-W12 System, and €5,415 for the flagship WS3-W12 System. The IA500-S amplifier is also sold separately at €800, alongside the standalone WS1-W10 subwoofer (€750) and WS1-W10 BOX rear enclosure (€200) for integrators who want to specify components individually.
