JBL Professional has introduced the JBL 3 Series MkIII, a new generation of its popular powered studio monitors. The range consists of the 5-inch 305P MkIII, the 6.5-inch 306P MkIII and the 8-inch 308P MkIII, together with the 10-inch 310S MkIII subwoofer. In Europe the new monitors are available from November 3, 2026.
New drivers and a refined waveguide
Each two-way monitor in the JBL 3 Series MkIII combines a redesigned high-frequency driver with an updated version of the JBL Image Control Waveguide. According to JBL, this widens the listening area and keeps the stereo image stable, even when you move around in front of the speakers.
The low-frequency drivers are also new, with stiffer cones, upgraded magnet assemblies and aluminium shorting rings for better power handling and lower distortion. A front-firing Slipstream port gives more predictable bass when the monitors are placed close to a wall or on a desk.

More power and room controls
New Class D amplifiers deliver 86 W in the 305P MkIII, 110 W in the 306P MkIII and 308P MkIII, and 300 W in the 310S MkIII subwoofer. JBL says the new design offers more output, more headroom and lower system noise.
Every full-range JBL 3 Series MkIII monitor has four one-touch room controls with 81 corrective EQ combinations, covering placement, wall distance and the balance of high and low frequencies. No calibration software is needed. Balanced Neutrik combo inputs with switchable +4 dBu or -10 dBV sensitivity connect to pro and consumer sources.

Subwoofer and multichannel setups
The 310S MkIII subwoofer reaches down to 26 Hz (-10 dB) with a peak SPL of 116 dB, and offers selectable crossover settings and an external bass management bypass. Integrated M4 mounting points on every full-range monitor allow desk, wall, ceiling or stand installation, so the range scales from stereo to 2.1, surround and immersive setups.

Who is it for?
The previous 3 Series generation became one of the most popular choices for home studios and project rooms, thanks to its combination of price, imaging and compact size. With the JBL 3 Series MkIII, JBL keeps that recipe but adds more power, lower noise and more flexible room correction. That makes the range interesting for producers working in untreated bedrooms, as well as for podcasters and video editors who need accurate monitoring on a desk.
Pricing and availability
The JBL 3 Series MkIII is available from November 3, 2026 in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, and from January 7, 2027 in North America. JBL has not yet published prices. More information is available on the JBL Professional website.
