The JBL L150 Classic is the new flagship of JBL’s Classic Series. HARMAN Luxury Audio Group announced the three-way floorstanding loudspeaker today, after it made its public debut at Audio Video Show 2026 in Warsaw last weekend. With a 15-inch woofer, walnut veneer and the unmistakable black Quadrex grille, it brings large-format JBL sound in a design that looks straight out of the 1970s.
JBL L150 Classic: heritage looks, modern engineering
The Classic Series draws its inspiration from the legendary JBL home loudspeakers of the 1970s. The new JBL L150 Classic keeps the visual identity of the Classic Series, but underneath it uses modern drivers, a new crossover and contemporary acoustic tuning. JBL promises the scale, dynamics and realism that serious listeners expect from a large-format design.
“The L150 Classic represents everything enthusiasts love about JBL’s Classic Series loudspeakers: the scale, energy, and emotional connection to music, combined with the acoustic refinement expected from a modern high-performance design,” said Kevin Kent, Senior Global Product Line Manager at HARMAN Luxury Audio. “It brings large-format JBL sound to a wider audience while remaining true to the engineering principles that define the brand.”

A 15-inch woofer at the foundation
At the base of the system sits a 15-inch (380 mm) Pure Pulp Differential Drive woofer on a cast frame, built for powerful and precise bass. A 6.5-inch (165 mm) polymer-coated Pure Pulp midrange driver, also on a cast frame, takes care of the midrange. At the top, a 1-inch (28 mm) titanium dome tweeter is mated to a waveguide and an acoustic lens to create a wider soundstage. Crossover points at 310 Hz and 1.8 kHz tie the three drivers together.
The cabinet has an angled profile with a sloped front baffle that directs the sound towards the listener. The bass-reflex enclosure with dual front ports takes the JBL L150 Classic down to 33 Hz.

Tune it to your room
The front panel carries high- and low-frequency level controls. They let you adapt the sound to your room and to your own taste. With the low-frequency control set to +2 dB, the JBL L150 Classic reaches down to 30.5 Hz. The speaker can also be bi-wired or bi-amplified for those who want to take things further. That gives owners of the JBL L150 Classic plenty of freedom in how they power it, from a single integrated amplifier to a pair of dedicated power amplifiers.
Pure JBL styling
Visually, the L150 Classic is instantly recognisable. A natural walnut veneer is combined with the vintage black Quadrex foam grille, which attaches magnetically, and the familiar JBL details, all at a scale that suits the flagship of the range.
