HiBy Digital, the sub-brand of portable audio specialist HiBy, has introduced the BD100, a compact desktop DAC and headphone amplifier aimed at gamers and music listeners who want one small box to cover both. The HiBy Digital BD100 pairs dual CS43198 DAC chips with Bluetooth, USB, coaxial and optical inputs, and ships in a choice of aluminium alloy or walnut-finish housings.
Dual DACs and a Flagship Bluetooth Platform
At the core of the HiBy Digital BD100 sit two HiFi-grade CS43198 DACs, supporting playback up to DSD512 and PCM at 768kHz/32-bit. Wireless input runs through the flagship QCC5181 Bluetooth audio platform, while wired sources connect via USB, coaxial or optical. Output options cover a 3.5mm single-ended headphone jack, a 4.4mm balanced headphone jack and an RCA line-out, backed by 1087mW of driving power for headphones that need it. An independent microphone input is built in as well, aimed squarely at the gaming and streaming use case the HiBy Digital BD100 is designed around.

One Knob, Two Finishes
Control is handled through a single all-in-one knob with an integrated display, covering source selection and volume without a cluttered front panel. HiBy Digital offers the BD100 in two versions: an aluminium alloy finish for a cooler, cleaner desktop look, and a walnut finish aimed at adding some warmth to a digital setup. At 116.8 x 100.6 x 39.7mm, the HiBy Digital BD100 is small enough to sit next to a monitor or keyboard without taking over the desk. It follows HiBy’s existing desktop DAC/amp line, including devices like the Cayin iD6 that bestofhighend.com has covered in the same category.

Built for Gaming as Much as Music
HiBy Digital pitches the BD100 explicitly as a multi-scenario device, switching between gaming and music duty without reconfiguration. The combination of a dedicated mic input, Bluetooth for a wireless headset, and USB/coaxial/optical for a PC or console covers most desktop setups in one unit, while the dual-DAC design is meant to keep fidelity high regardless of which input is active.

Pricing and availability
The HiBy Digital BD100 is available now, priced at $129 in either the aluminium alloy or walnut finish, directly from HiBy’s own store.
