The Magico A3 is the California manufacturer’s answer to a familiar high-end dilemma: how to bring the engineering philosophy of its flagship loudspeakers to a wider audience without diluting it. The A3 is a 3-way floorstanding design built around a machined aluminum enclosure, a beryllium tweeter borrowed from Magico’s M-Project platform, and the brand’s Graphene Nano-Tec driver technology, positioning the Magico A3 as an entry point into true high-end sound rather than a scaled-down compromise.
A Machined Aluminum Enclosure, Not a Box
Where many floorstanders at this level still rely on braced MDF cabinets, the Magico A3 enclosure is formed from machined 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with a complex internal bracing structure that increases stiffness and mass while minimizing resonance. A calibrated sub-enclosure isolates the midrange driver from the back-wave pressure of the bass drivers, so it operates without interference from the lower-frequency section. The brushed aluminum cabinet sits on a 4-point spiked outrigger base for solid coupling to the floor, which Magico says enhances dynamic range by keeping the enclosure stable under load.
A Beryllium Tweeter From Magico’s M-Project Platform
High frequencies are handled by a newly designed pure beryllium-diaphragm tweeter with a 28mm dome, based on the same fundamental platform as Magico’s M-Project flagship tweeter. A customized neodymium motor system sits in an improved back chamber with new damping materials, aimed at ultra-low distortion, higher power handling and extended linear voice-coil movement, so the Magico A3’s top end stays composed even at higher listening levels.

Graphene Nano-Tec Drivers and an Elliptical Symmetry Crossover
The Magico A3’s 6-inch midrange driver uses a Multi-Wall carbon fiber cone with a layer of XG Nanographene for an optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio and well-controlled damping. It is driven by an overhung neodymium motor with large magnets and a 75mm pure titanium voice coil, designed to keep the magnetic field stable across the driver’s full excursion. All four drivers in the Magico A3 are tested and optimized for acoustical, mechanical, electromagnetic and thermal behavior using Finite Element Analysis simulation, then integrated using Magico’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover topology, built around components sourced from Mundorf of Germany. The 3-way dividing network uses a 24dB-per-octave Linkwitz-Riley filter intended to maximize frequency bandwidth while preserving phase linearity and minimizing intermodulation distortion.
Built for a Wider Audience of Music Enthusiasts
Magico designed the A3 specifically to extend its design philosophy to a new, more accessible product category, aimed at listeners making the step up into high-end audio without wanting to compromise on the fundamentals of build quality and sound. It is a deliberately different proposition from Magico’s reference-level ranges: still hand-assembled to the same quality standard, but scaled for rooms and budgets that the flagship models were never meant to address. Grilles are optional for the Magico A3 and available separately on request, keeping the drivers and their machined surrounds on full display for those who want them.
Pricing and availability
The Magico A3 is sold through Magico’s dealer network, with pricing that varies by finish; recent dealer listings put it at roughly $15,400 per pair in black and $16,200 in silver, though current pricing should always be confirmed with a local dealer given periodic adjustments. It sits above Magico’s existing S-Series loudspeakers in the brand’s broader range, and below the brand’s reference and flagship models. Full specifications are available on the official Magico A3 product page.
