Building upon the success of its predecessors, the S3 and S5, the S2 introduces its own distinctive design elements and capabilities. Utilizing cutting-edge tools such as the Polytec Laser Vibrometer, Magico was able to measure cabinet vibrations during the design phase, ensuring that potential resonances were addressed proactively. Notably, the S2’s cabinet is built around the largest single-piece extrusion ever produced by Magico, enhancing rigidity and enabling optimal damping strategies.
The S2 features a four-driver setup, including a 7-inch woofer, a 5-inch midrange, and a sophisticated 28mm tweeter, each designed to provide exceptional acoustic performance. The woofers produce powerful low frequencies with a remarkable maximum sound pressure level of 109 dB at 55 Hz, while the tweeter extends to an impressive 50 kHz, ensuring detailed and nuanced high frequencies.
