Sony has announced two new fully automatic wireless turntables, the PS-LX3BT and PS-LX5BT, designed to deliver authentic vinyl sound with modern convenience and high-quality wireless audio capabilities. Unveiled on January 22, 2026, these models build on Sony‘s legacy in accessible turntable technology, succeeding the popular PS-LX310BT from 2019, and cater to both vinyl newcomers and more discerning listeners.
Both turntables feature one-button full-automatic operation for effortless playback, supporting 33⅓ and 45 RPM speeds for 7-inch and 12-inch records. They include Bluetooth connectivity with support for aptX, aptX Adaptive, and Hi-Res Wireless Audio, enabling detailed, high-fidelity streaming to compatible headphones, speakers, or soundbars. A built-in phono equalizer allows direct connection to audio systems without an external preamp, while a USB output supports digitizing vinyl collections. An aluminum platter ensures stable rotation, and a transparent dust cover provides protection and visual appeal. Both models emphasize sustainability with recycled packaging.
PS-LX3BT: The Ideal Entry into Vinyl
Positioned as an approachable, lifestyle-oriented turntable, the PS-LX3BT is perfect for beginners or those seeking a simple, stylish setup that integrates seamlessly into modern living spaces. It delivers a warm, analog sound with smooth tracking suitable for everyday listening. The included audio cable and built-in phono stage enable immediate playback, while its refined, minimalist design prioritizes ease and aesthetics.
Priced at a suggested retail of €349 (approximately $399.99 USD in some markets), the PS-LX3BT is available now or soon through Sony’s direct channels and authorized retailers.
PS-LX5BT: Premium Performance for Elevated Listening
The PS-LX5BT targets users seeking superior sound quality and refinement. It features a rigid, one-piece chassis, an aluminum tonearm, a high-grade cartridge, and a rubber mat—all engineered to minimize unwanted vibrations and preserve signal purity. This results in richer, more detailed audio reproduction with a wider soundstage, ideal for focused, critical listening sessions.
A high-quality audio output supports wired connections, and the minimalist design complements premium interiors. It offers the same wireless and automatic conveniences as its sibling but with enhanced components for noticeably better performance.
The PS-LX5BT carries a suggested retail price of €449 (around $499.99 USD in select markets) and is expected to become available in the coming months.
Exclusive Promotion with Dutch Artist LUNA
To celebrate the launch, particularly in the Benelux region, Sony has partnered with rising Dutch singer LUNA. Known for her emotional, personal music—gaining fame through TikTok covers in 2021 and breaking through with hits like “Dat is het leven” in 2024, followed by chart-toppers “Stuk” (No. 1 in Belgium) and “Voorbestemd” (No. 1 in the Netherlands)—LUNA embodies the intimate, heartfelt experience of vinyl playback.
From January 22, 2026, through June 30, 2026, purchasers of either the PS-LX3BT or PS-LX5BT will receive a complimentary vinyl copy of LUNA’s album “Eindelijk Mezelf”. Additionally, buyers until March 3, 2026, can enter a draw for two exclusive VIP concert tickets, including a meet & greet, for LUNA’s show in Gent on April 2, 2026.
These new turntables reflect Sony’s commitment to blending timeless analog warmth with contemporary wireless technology, making high-quality vinyl accessible while appealing to diverse listening preferences.
