Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has launched the world’s first Micro RGB, a groundbreaking 115-inch display that redefines ultra-premium TV technology. Featuring individually controlled red, green, and blue LEDs smaller than 100 micrometers, Micro RGB delivers unparalleled color accuracy, contrast, and immersion, establishing a new benchmark in the high-end TV market.
Full BT.2020 color standard coverage
The Micro RGB technology arranges microscopic RGB LEDs in an ultra-fine pattern behind the panel, enabling precise control of each LED. This results in exceptional color precision and contrast, achieving 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color standard, as certified by the Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE) with its “Micro RGB Precision Color” certification.
Micro RGB raises the bar for consumer displays with unmatched precision in controlling micrometer-sized RGB LEDs, said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Team at Samsung’s Visual Display Business.
Powered by Micro RGB AI Engine
Powered by the Micro RGB AI Engine, the display uses real-time AI processing to optimize both visuals and audio. The Micro RGB Color Booster Pro enhances dull scenes for vibrant, lifelike imagery, while Glare Free technology minimizes reflections for comfortable viewing in bright environments. The TV’s sleek, ultra-thin metal design complements its cutting-edge performance with a minimalist aesthetic.
Samsung Vision AI integrated
Integrated with Samsung Vision AI, the Micro RGB offers advanced AI-driven features, including an upgraded Bixby voice assistant powered by generative AI for a more conversational user experience. Security is ensured through Samsung Knox, protecting user data, while the 7-year Tizen OS Upgrade program guarantees long-term software support.
Following its debut in Korea, Micro RGB is set to launch in the US, with a global rollout planned in various screen sizes. In Belgium, it will be available from October 13, starting at €29,999.
