Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy Tab S12 Series, its most powerful and versatile tablet lineup to date. The series consists of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S12+, and replaces the Tab S11 generation with a thinner chassis, a faster 3nm processor and the latest wave of Galaxy AI features. Samsung positions the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series as a tool for people who are constantly learning new skills, building a career or chasing a creative passion, rather than a simple media-consumption tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series: Thinner, Faster, Cooler
At just 5.1 mm thick, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is the thinnest Galaxy Tab Samsung has built, while also being the most powerful. Both the Tab S12 Ultra and the Tab S12+ run on the 3 nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500, which Samsung says delivers a 61 percent faster NPU, a 19 percent faster CPU and a 17 percent faster GPU than the Tab S11 Ultra. A redesigned 3D Vapor Chamber keeps the lineup cool during demanding tasks such as 4K video editing or long rendering sessions, and both models carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Tab S12 Ultra pairs its 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an 11,600 mAh battery rated for up to 23 hours of playback, while the 12.6-inch Tab S12+ houses a 10,600 mAh battery good for up to 21 hours. Both screens reach a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and support a 45W charger that restores a full charge in roughly 95 minutes. A quad-speaker configuration doubles the number of audio channels found on the previous generation for a notably fuller sound stage.

Photoshop Lands on a Samsung Tablet for the First Time
The headline software feature of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series is the pre-installed Adobe Photoshop app, a first for any Android tablet. Optimised for the larger display and the bundled S Pen, Photoshop on the Tab S12 Series includes an AI Assistant built on Adobe Firefly and comes with four months of free access to the mobile Photoshop Premium plan, including 100 generative credits a month. Alongside Photoshop, the tablets ship with Notability, Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Notion and Clip Studio Paint pre-loaded or discounted, plus six months of Google AI Pro for direct access to Gemini and Gemini Notebook.
Multitasking also gets an upgrade: Multi Window can split the screen into three parts, so a lecture, an open AI assistant and Samsung Notes can run side by side, while the new Note Assist feature summarises handwritten or typed notes on the fly without interrupting playback. Both tablets ship with the ergonomic S Pen in the box, and Samsung’s optional Pro Keyboard and Book Cover Keyboard Slim add a more traditional, laptop-like workflow.
