Samsung Electronics has once again asserted its two-decade dominance as the world’s number-one TV brand by unveiling a groundbreaking 2026 lineup at Inside Samsung – The First Look Europe in Eschborn, Frankfurt. The event showcased the company’s boldest leap yet into AI-powered living, headlined by the revolutionary Micro RGB display technology and a suite of intelligent features designed to make large-format screens more immersive, personal, and seamlessly integrated into luxury homes.
“Innovation at Samsung has never been about novelty alone”, said Benjamin Braun, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung Europe. “It’s about constantly challenging ourselves to deliver the best possible viewing experience — whatever you’re watching and wherever you watch it. Twenty years as the world’s number-one TV brand have been built on moments like the Bordeaux TV in 2006 and breakthroughs such as QLED and Neo QLED. Today, Micro RGB and our new AI-powered experiences open the next chapter.”
At Inside Samsung 2026 in Frankfurt, we asked Charley Bae, Director of Product Business Management for TV & Sound Devices at Samsung Europe:
How does Samsung position the 2026 TV and audio lineup in Europe compared to 2025? What strategic shifts are we seeing this year?
The Vision AI Companion is one of the biggest new features this year. How do you see the role of AI evolving from “picture & sound optimization” to a true “entertainment companion” for the European consumer?
How big is the impact of Glare Free on viewing comfort in typical European living rooms (with lots of window light), and how did you specifically test this for the European market?
With 165 Hz and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility on the S95H and S90H, Samsung is targeting gamers even more strongly. Do you expect gaming to become an even larger share of total TV sales in Europe in 2026?
Micro RGB: A New Standard in Direct-Emissive Picture Quality
At the heart of Samsung’s 2026 flagship range is Micro RGB, a display architecture that marks a fundamental shift from conventional LED-backlit panels. Instead of relying on white backlight and colour filters, Micro RGB employs individually addressable red, green, and blue micro-LEDs — each smaller than 100 micrometres — to generate light and colour directly at the pixel level. The result is exceptional peak brightness, infinite contrast, and 100 % coverage of the BT.2020 colour gamut, delivering lifelike colour reproduction and shadow detail previously unseen in consumer televisions.
The technology, first previewed in a 115-inch model, expands dramatically this year with a new 130-inch flagship alongside 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, and 100-inch variants, bringing next-generation performance to a wider audience of discerning buyers. Complementing the panel is the Micro RGB AI Engine, which optimises brightness, contrast, and fine detail frame by frame in real time, ensuring every scene — from cinematic masterpieces to live sports — is rendered with maximum fidelity.
The full Micro RGB series will be available across Europe from May 2026.
Vision AI Companion Brings Natural Intelligence to Every Screen
Samsung’s 2026 televisions introduce Vision AI Companion, an advanced AI layer that transforms the viewing experience into a natural, conversational dialogue with the screen. Powered by sophisticated natural language understanding, the system allows users to ask real-time questions, request recommendations, or receive context-aware assistance — whether identifying a dish from a cooking show, analysing a football match, or discovering local experiences inspired by on-screen content.
Key AI enhancements include:
- AI Picture Optimisation — analyses content type and dynamically adjusts colour, contrast, and motion for the most accurate and engaging presentation, with dedicated modes for different sports.
- AI Sound Controller Pro — the first solution enabling real-time, voice-driven adjustments to individual elements of the TV’s audio mix using simple contextual commands.
- AI Football Mode — automatically recognises live matches and optimises picture and sound settings to turn the living room into a private stadium.
Vision AI Companion will be available across the entire 2026 TV range, including UHD models.
Refined OLED Performance and Design Excellence
Samsung continues to evolve its premium OLED lineup with expanded Glare Free technology on the S90H, S95H, and flagship S99H models. The coating significantly reduces reflections while preserving colour accuracy and black levels, ensuring consistent, cinematic viewing in any lighting condition — whether daytime movies or evening sports broadcasts.
The S99H further elevates design with a Zero Gap wall-mount system and a refined “floating” aesthetic. The ultra-slim panel appears to hover in front of a metallic frame, delivering both visual drama and effortless installation.
Lifestyle Screens for the Modern Luxury Home
Recognising that today’s high-end residences demand versatility, Samsung expands its lifestyle portfolio with two standout models:
- The Frame Pro marries Glare Free Neo QLED picture quality with an art-inspired bezel and a Wireless One Connect Box, enabling a cleaner, more flexible installation while preserving the iconic gallery aesthetic.
- Movingstyle is a portable, all-in-one smart screen with built-in battery and touch functionality, designed to move effortlessly between living rooms, home offices, and outdoor spaces — perfectly suited to contemporary, fluid lifestyles.
Elevated Audio Experiences
Complementing the visual innovations is a new audio ecosystem. The Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 Wi-Fi speakers, created in collaboration with renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec, blend refined aesthetics with high-fidelity sound, adding warmth and expressiveness to any high-end interior. For larger gatherings, the Sound Tower delivers powerful, room-filling audio with customisable Party Lights that can be personalised to match team colours during this summer’s major sporting events.
Built for Longevity and Peace of Mind
All 2026 Samsung TVs are protected by Samsung Knox Security, safeguarding personal data and connected devices. The Tizen operating system receives seven years of upgrades, ensuring continued access to the latest AI features, performance enhancements, and security patches — a commitment to long-term value that aligns with the expectations of premium customers.
With Micro RGB, Vision AI Companion, and an unwavering focus on design and personalisation, Samsung has not only reinforced its leadership in home entertainment but has redefined what a luxury television can be. The 2026 lineup promises to elevate everyday living into an intelligent, immersive, and beautifully designed experience — exactly what high-end enthusiasts have come to expect from the world’s foremost TV brand.
