Sony has swept three Sony EISA Awards for 2026-2027, with the Expert Imaging and Sound Association naming the Alpha 7 V its Camera of the Year for the second year running. The Sony EISA Awards haul also covers the FE 100mm F2.8 Macro GM OSS, named Macro Lens of the year, and the Alpha 7R VI, recognised as Professional Camera of the year, giving Sony a clean sweep across three of EISA’s photography categories.
Sony EISA Awards: Alpha 7 V Takes Camera of the Year
The Sony Alpha 7 V is a weather-sealed full-frame camera Sony positions for virtually any type of shoot, pairing proven five-axis image stabilisation with the newest developments in its imaging line-up. Its partially stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor delivers 33 megapixels and continuous shooting at up to 30 frames per second without viewfinder blackout. The new BIONZ XR2 processor adds an integrated AI processing unit that drives real-time subject recognition autofocus, including human pose detection, while video shooters get 4K at 60fps, or 120fps in a Super 35 crop. FE 100mm F2.8 Macro GM OSS: Macro Lens of the Year
