Shanling has introduced the Shanling M0 Pura, the fourth generation of its ultra-compact portable music player, aimed at listeners who want genuine Hi-Res performance without carrying a full-size digital audio player. Weighing just 35.8g, the M0 Pura combines upgraded audio hardware with a refined touchscreen interface and extensive wired and wireless playback options, making it a compact travel companion for streaming, transporting and playing high-resolution music libraries.
Dual DACs in a pocketable body
At the heart of the M0 Pura are dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs, supporting PCM playback up to 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD128, with up to 250mW of output power into 32 ohms when paired with Shanling’s optional 3.5mm-to-4.4mm balanced adapter. A 650mAh battery delivers up to nine hours of continuous playback from a single charge, while the 1.54-inch colour touchscreen and Shanling’s in-house MTouch operating system provide fast navigation through albums, playlists and settings, powered by the Ingenic X1000 platform.
Two-way Bluetooth and USB DAC flexibility
Despite its compact dimensions, the M0 Pura offers a wide range of playback options. Two-way Bluetooth allows it to function both as a wireless source for headphones and speakers and as a Bluetooth receiver, turning it into a compact DAC and headphone amplifier for a connected smartphone, console or laptop. USB-C connectivity adds USB DAC functionality, letting the M0 Pura act as a bit-perfect digital transport for external USB DACs. Storage comes via a microSD slot supporting up to 2TB, with compatibility across FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, APE, MP3, AAC, OGG and DSD, covering everything from CD and vinyl rips to modern studio-quality downloads.
