The Samsung Gamescom 2026 lineup brings the Korean brand’s complete gaming ecosystem to Cologne, at the world’s largest gaming event, running from 26 to 30 August. Under the theme “#PlaySamsung,” Samsung occupies 1,090 square metres of exhibition space to show off its full range of gaming hardware, from monitors and mobile devices to portable SSDs and headsets. The centrepiece of the Samsung Gamescom 2026 lineup is the reveal of its 2027 Odyssey monitors, alongside new USB4 portable SSDs and a series of interactive zones built around competitive and casual gaming alike.

Four new Odyssey monitors headline the Samsung Gamescom 2026 lineup
Samsung used Gamescom 2026 to unveil its new Odyssey lineup for 2027, presented for the first time during the dedicated #PlaySamsung: The Next Era of Gaming Displays session on 27 August. The range spans four distinct models, each targeting a different combination of size, speed and image quality.
The Odyssey OLED G9 is the world’s first 49-inch DQHD gaming monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate, built on a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with Penta Tandem technology for up to 1.3x the efficiency and roughly double the lifespan of the previous generation. Gamers can switch between Dual QHD at 360Hz for a wide, high-resolution view or Dual HD at up to 720Hz for maximum speed. The Odyssey OLED G8 is a 32-inch UHD OLED monitor with Triple Mode support, letting users toggle between UHD at 360Hz, QHD at 520Hz and FHD at 680Hz, alongside VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600 and support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible.
The Odyssey OLED G7 is billed as the world’s first 42-inch curved 16:9 OLED gaming monitor, with a screen surface roughly 72% larger than the previous 32-inch model and a 1000R curvature designed for immersive RPGs and open-world games. Rounding out the range, the 27-inch Odyssey G6 becomes the world’s first gaming monitor with a 1100Hz refresh rate, built for competitive FPS players who prioritise speed and motion clarity, with Dual Mode switching between 1100Hz in HD and 600Hz in QHD. Samsung is also expanding HDR10+ GAMING support to more than 20 titles in the first half of 2027, working with Activision Blizzard on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
New portable SSDs join the Samsung Gamescom 2026 lineup
Alongside its monitors, Samsung used Gamescom 2026 to introduce the P9 and P7, the newest additions to its Portable SSD line, both built around USB4 connectivity. The P9 is aimed at professional users, reaching sequential read speeds of up to 4,000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 3,800 MB/s, roughly double the previous generation. At 8TB, the P9 is the world’s first USB4 portable SSD at that capacity to support 4,000 MB/s speeds, an achievement that earned it a CES 2026 Innovation Award. Its write performance is strong enough to support direct 12K recording for professional production workflows.
The P7 targets everyday users, offering the same USB4 foundation in a design built for speed and durability, compatible with desktops, laptops, smartphones, game consoles and cameras. It has passed a 2-metre drop test along with shock and vibration testing. Both drives arrive in 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB capacities, rolling out globally from 31 August. Recommended pricing for the P9 starts at €350.99 for 1TB and rises to €2,750.99 for 8TB, while the P7 starts at €295.99 for 1TB and reaches €2,331.99 for 8TB. Four zones, one gaming ecosystem
The Samsung Gamescom 2026 stand is split into four zones. The Odyssey Zone centres on the new gaming monitors alongside the 9100 Pro SSD and JBL Quantum 950 headset. The Galaxy Zone showcases Samsung’s mobile gaming ecosystem, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra, both running the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, plus the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro with a low-latency gaming mode and the new Neural Frame Fusion AI technology for more efficient graphics processing.
The Gaming Hub Zone lets visitors try Samsung Gaming Hub, which brings cloud gaming directly to compatible TVs and monitors without a separate console, while the T1 Zone lets fans play with the same equipment used by League of Legends star Faker as part of Samsung’s partnership with esports team T1. Throughout the show, Samsung is also running influencer competitions, a Spatial Signage glasses-free 3D experience, and the #PlayGalaxy Cup PUBG Mobile world finals on 27 and 28 August. The Samsung Gamescom 2026 lineup follows its recent CANVAS HiFi BACCH 3D Surround announcement, part of a broader wave of AV brand activity around this year’s show.
Pricing and availability
Pricing and launch dates for the 2027 Odyssey monitor lineup will be announced later, with the Odyssey G6 arriving globally from the second half of 2026. The Samsung Portable SSD P9 and P7 roll out globally from 31 August, priced from €295.99 to €2,750.99 depending on model and capacity.
