AI note-taking brand Plaud is stepping up its presence in Belgium and the Netherlands. Antwerp-based agency Progress Communications has welcomed Plaud as a new client, and will handle local PR and communication to strengthen the visibility of Plaud Benelux. For listeners in our region, that means easier access to news, reviews and background on Plaud’s compact AI recorders and its Plaud One AI earbuds.
Plaud Benelux: what the brand does
Plaud combines compact recording devices with AI software that captures conversations, transcribes them, summarises them and turns them into usable insights and action points. The idea is that you can focus fully on the person in front of you, while Plaud records the key information in the background. For people who spend a lot of time in meetings, interviews, client conversations or consultations, a transcription via Plaud can save a lot of time.
Since its launch in 2023, more than 2.5 million users worldwide have chosen Plaud. The company is based in San Francisco and says it meets standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA and EN 18031 for data security and privacy.

Three ways to capture a conversation
The current Plaud range covers three form factors. The Plaud Note Pro is a slim, card-shaped recorder that you can place on a desk or carry with your phone. The Plaud NotePin S is a wearable recorder that you clip onto your clothing, so it is always with you. And the Plaud One AI earbuds bring the same idea to a pair of true wireless earbuds, which is the product that brought Plaud onto our radar. Why local PR matters for Plaud Benelux
“Technology comes into its own when it fits what people want to achieve, and helps professionals capture valuable conversations and turn insights into action points,” says Lewis Hopkins, Head of PR Europe at Plaud. According to Hopkins, PR plays a crucial role in Plaud’s growth in the Benelux, and the partnership helps the brand build better relationships with local journalists.
Miek Gielkens, Managing Director of Progress Communications, sees AI increasingly stepping out of the screen and into devices that people simply carry with them. The agency plans to show what that means in practice through product reviews, user stories and background articles. Progress Communications has offices in Amsterdam and Antwerp, and works for technology and innovation-driven brands.

What this means for Plaud Benelux users
For buyers in Belgium and the Netherlands, a local PR partner usually means more local reviews, more hands-on information and easier contact with the brand. With local support for Plaud Benelux now in place, Progress Communications is also offering product reviews and interviews about how AI changes the way we capture conversations, process information and work together. We will keep an eye on what that brings.
