Plaud has introduced the Plaud One Explorer Edition, a pair of AI-powered earbuds designed to capture live conversations, understand their context and intent, and turn them directly into concrete actions. The Plaud One Explorer Edition builds on the idea that conversation itself, rather than a keyboard or a touchscreen, is becoming the defining interface of the AI era.
A new interface between humans and AI
Every computing era has had its own defining interface, from the keyboard to the touchscreen. With the Plaud One Explorer Edition, Plaud is betting that the next one is the conversation itself: an interface that understands context, is always available, and puts speaking first. The earbuds can be worn directly or used together with their separate charging case, letting owners capture phone calls, online meetings, in-person conversations and stray ideas on the move. Built-in LTE means the Plaud One Explorer Edition keeps working even without a paired phone nearby, automatically uploading conversations for transcription and summarization.
From conversation to action
Underpinning the hardware is Plaud Intelligence, the company’s conversation-intelligence platform, refreshed here with deeper memory, richer context and the ability to execute entire workflows from a single spoken request. Through integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion and Slack, the connected Plaud Agent can carry out tasks directly inside the tools people already use. To keep every task on track, Plaud Agent draws on a library of workflows called Skills, along with curated bundles of workflows for specific jobs called Plugins, and it can generate Artifacts such as emails, documents and presentations that are ready to edit, share or export. The more the Plaud One Explorer Edition is used, the more context Plaud Agent builds up, helping it choose the right tools and workflows to deliver results that match what the user actually intended.

The Plaud One Explorer Edition arrives alongside similar bets from across the industry that AI can live directly on the body rather than only inside a phone, echoing the ambitions behind Samsung and Google’s AI smart glasses earlier this year, though Plaud’s focus stays squarely on turning spoken conversation into finished work rather than visual overlays.
Pricing and availability
The Plaud One Explorer Edition costs €249.90 and can be preordered from 27 August 2026 in selected markets. Explorers do not need a separate subscription: every purchase includes €176 in Plaud credits, redeemable against eligible Plaud Intelligence features and services. Shipping is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, when Plaud App 4.0 will also start rolling out across the company’s product range.
