Simaudio has expanded its Compass Collection with the MOON 341, a fully analog integrated amplifier the brand describes as “our new classic” — a modern expression of MOON’s long-standing integrated amplifier tradition. The MOON 341 combines a balanced analog preamplifier with Simaudio’s proprietary MDCA (MOON Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier) technology, and starts at €5,200.
Power and performance
The MOON 341 delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts into 4 ohms, backed by an 800-watt MOON Hybrid Power supply with Active Power Factor Correction. A damping factor of 425 and a signal-to-noise ratio of 108dB underline the control Simaudio is targeting, while MOON bipolar transistors anchor the amplification stage. Total harmonic distortion is specified at 0.003% at full power.
Built-in phono stage and flexible connectivity
Four RCA inputs — including a dedicated phono input — and one balanced XLR input give the MOON 341 flexibility for a range of sources. A menu-selectable phono stage supports both MM and MC cartridge configurations, letting owners adapt the amplifier to different vinyl setups without external hardware. A 6.75-inch graphic display and the included CRM-4 aluminium remote handle day-to-day control, with compatibility for Simaudio’s optional BRM-1 Bluetooth remote.
Design in the Compass Collection
Finished with bead-blasted aluminium cheeks in black or silver, the MOON 341 shares the clean proportions of Simaudio’s Compass Collection, which also includes the MOON 461 power amplifier and MOON 491 network player/preamplifier. More details are available via Simaudio’s own product page.
