Marantz, one of the most respected names in high-end audio for more than 70 years, has introduced two new additions to its hi-fi portfolio: the Marantz MODEL 70 integrated amplifier and the CD 70 CD player. Building on the acclaimed legacy of the PM6007 and CD6007, the pair represents the next step in the evolution of Marantz’s entry-level hi-fi components, aimed at music lovers who want the brand’s signature sound in a more contemporary package.
Timeless Marantz design, reworked
The MODEL 70 and CD 70 introduce Marantz’s newest design language to a new generation of listeners, extending the refinement of the brand’s premium range beyond the traditional hi-fi crowd. Both components share Marantz’s familiar full-width architecture, premium materials and carefully considered detailing, and are available in black and silver-gold finishes designed to blend into modern living spaces.
Every aspect of the build, from optimized internal layouts to vibration-resistant chassis construction, is engineered to deliver performance and effortless listening pleasure without compromising the sound quality Marantz is known for.

The signature Marantz sound
The MODEL 70 delivers the warm, detailed and musical character Marantz listeners expect. It uses an enhanced current-feedback class A/B amplification architecture rated at 50 watts per channel, backed by an upgraded power supply and a larger toroidal transformer, resulting in greater dynamic expression and tighter speaker control across a wide range of loudspeaker pairings. A high-quality MM phono preamp lets vinyl fans connect a turntable directly.
Built for modern listening habits
HDMI ARC improves TV audio performance while keeping simple remote volume control, and Bluetooth connectivity has been expanded to support both receiving and transmitting via aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, AAC and SBC. A broad range of analog and digital inputs, plus pre-amp and subwoofer outputs, adds flexibility for different rooms and system configurations.
The CD 70 is built around the same high-quality DAC as the MODEL 70, complemented by Marantz’s own HDAM circuitry, for a detailed and emotionally engaging reading of compact discs. A front-panel USB-A input adds support for high-resolution formats including FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF and DSD. An upgraded power supply, dual-layer chassis base and strategically placed copper components help minimize noise, while a fully separate headphone amplifier with HDAM technology and automatic headphone detection rounds out the personal listening experience.

Sustainable packaging
In line with Marantz’s sustainability initiatives, the MODEL 70 and CD 70 ship in environmentally friendly, FSC-certified cardboard packaging designed to reduce plastic use without compromising presentation.
A complete system
“MODEL 70 and CD 70 perfectly embody what Marantz stands for today. They honor the legacy of two of our most successful and acclaimed products while introducing a new level of design, performance and versatility,” said Lyle Smith, president of the Sound United brands at HARMAN. “Every element is designed for music lovers who value authentic hi-fi performance, beautiful craftsmanship and effortless integration into their modern lifestyle.”
Marantz was founded in 1953 by Saul Marantz with a single guiding philosophy: bring the listener as close as possible to the original recording. That same philosophy underpins the award-winning Marantz Model 10, the flagship sibling this new entry-level duo draws inspiration from.
