A powerhouse collaboration of leading home cinema specialists—ASCENDO Immersive Audio, Barco Residential, StormAudio, PrimeTheater, and Technology Integration Partners (TIP)—has unveiled the Luxury Immersion Cinema at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026. On display at stand 2J500 in Fira de Barcelona Gran Via from February 3–6, 2026, this groundbreaking demonstration sets a new standard for luxury residential theaters by seamlessly integrating professional-grade DCI LED video walls with immersive audio optimized for the unique challenges of solid-screen installations.
As LED video walls gain traction in high-end home cinemas for their superior contrast, brightness, and future-proof performance, traditional audio designs face significant hurdles: speakers can no longer be placed behind the screen, risking compromised sound localization and immersion. The Luxury Immersion Cinema addresses this head-on, showcasing how cinema-level visuals and uncompromising audio can coexist to deliver a truly reference experience in a residential setting.
DCI-Grade Video Excellence from Barco Residential
At the heart of the visual presentation is Barco Residential’s Runar LED video wall, engineered specifically for luxury home cinema and scheduled for DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) certification under the latest HDR standards—the pinnacle benchmark for cinema LED performance. With a fine 0.9mm pixel pitch and native DCI 4K resolution (4,096 × 2,160), Runar leverages Micro LED in Package (MIP) technology to deliver exceptional image quality at typical residential viewing distances.
The wall achieves remarkable specs: 100,000:1 contrast ratio, ultra-deep black levels of 0.005 cd/m², full DCI-P3 color coverage, and HDR performance at 300 nits for DCI-grade content or up to 500 nits for consumer formats. This enables seamless playback of both professional Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) and everyday HDR sources on a single surface, providing reference-level contrast, color accuracy, and cinematic immersion rarely seen in private homes.
Whether watching consumer content or digital cinema packages, ultra-deep black levels and high brightness provide exceptional contrast performance, whilst DCI-P3 coverage and color precision provide a truly reference cinematic experience, said Bart Devos, Business Development Manager EMEA at Barco Residential.
Immersive Audio Engineered for LED Challenges
Complementing the visuals is a sophisticated 14.8.8-channel immersive audio system from ASCENDO, purpose-built for LED video wall applications. By placing speakers around rather than behind the solid screen, the design maintains precise front-channel localization and cinematic realism. ASCENDO’s point-source speakers ensure consistent seat-to-seat performance in multi-row setups, delivering high-output, direct-radiating sound with minimal compromise.
Making its debut at ISE 2026 is ASCENDO’s THE8 PRO PASSIVE LED WEDGE, a 3-way speaker tailored for LED environments. Six units handle the front channels, supported by THE10 Passive WEDGE 30 (sides), THE10 Passive On Wall (overheads), and THE10 Passive LED Phantom (rears). Deep, infrasonic bass comes from eight THE28 SUB PRO SQUARED subwoofers, each driven by an ASCENDO AIA2-10K2 IS infrasonic amplifier.
StormAudio orchestrates the entire audio ecosystem with its ISP Elite 32 Analog processor, which uses advanced calibration, spatial mapping, and the proprietary Center Shift feature to psychoacoustically reposition sound within the on-screen image—ensuring dialogue and effects appear to emanate directly from actors despite the physical offset of front speakers. Powering the system is the world-premiere Impulsion 8 amplifier, designed for exceptional dynamic range and transient response to match the high-contrast intensity of the LED visuals.
An LED video wall creates a massive, solid visual surface that challenges traditional theater audio design. The processor must work harder to ensure the audience believes the dialogue and action are coming directly from the actors on screen. This is where StormAudio’s center shift feature is essential, said Olivier Thumerel, CEO of StormAudio.
A Complete, Performer-Focused Theater Environment
PrimeTheater brings the physical space to life, designing and constructing the demo room with meticulous attention to acoustics, sightlines, and seating for optimal performance—even in the demanding environment of a trade show floor. As a specialist in turnkey, customizable home theaters, PrimeTheater ensures effortless integration and real-world applicability for luxury installations.
This is more than a technology demo. It is a masterclass in modern residential cinema, giving integrators a clear vision of how DCI-grade LED video and immersive audio designed for LED, in concert with a room built for performance, raise expectations for what luxury home theaters can—and should—deliver, said Helder Martins, Owner of PrimeTheater.
The Luxury Immersion Cinema invites ISE attendees to experience the future of high-end residential AV at stand 2J500. A private press event is scheduled for February 4, 2026, at 9:30 AM, with details available via registration links shared by the partners.
