Essenza by Bassocontinuo has added the Isola turntable platform to its entry-level Genesis Line, giving vinyl listeners a dedicated isolation base that sits on an existing rack or piece of furniture rather than requiring a full equipment stand. The Essenza Isola is built around the same decoupling philosophy as the brand’s full-size racks, scaled down into a compact, standalone plinth aimed at turntables that need better vibration control without a system-wide furniture upgrade.
Two Shelves or Three, Built the Same Way
The Essenza Isola ships in two configurations. The two-shelf version pairs a pair of high-density chipboard (HDC) panels with a single rubber damping layer between them, for a platform thickness of 46mm and an overall footprint of 590 x 450mm. The three-shelf version adds a second HDC panel and a second rubber layer, raising the stack to 70mm thick while keeping the same footprint. Both versions rest on four solid stainless-steel feet, each fitted with additional decoupling material to break the mechanical path between the furniture underneath and the turntable on top.

Feet Matched to Turntable Weight
Essenza by Bassocontinuo supplies the Isola with two different decoupling materials for the feet, selected according to how heavy the turntable is. A Technogel insert is recommended for lighter turntables, up to 19kg, while a rubber insert is intended for heavier designs between 20 and 45kg. That range covers most two-motor and heavier plinth-based decks, and it means the Essenza Isola can be tuned to a specific deck rather than relying on a single generic isolation layer for every weight class.

Part of a Wider Genesis Line
The Isola joins the Proton tower rack, the Quark power-amp stand and the Neutron audio-video rack as the fourth product in Essenza by Bassocontinuo’s Genesis Line, the brand’s 100% Made in Italy entry point into furniture engineered specifically for hi-fi. Essenza by Bassocontinuo has already built a following on bestofhighend.com for accessories such as its Easy Feet decoupling spikes, and the Isola extends that same design language to a dedicated vinyl platform rather than a general-purpose component support. Like the rest of the Genesis Line, the Essenza Isola is finished in Stormy Black, with a matte-black shelf and a black-coated solid-steel structure, and the shelf material is designed so that minor scratches can be heat-buffed out.

Pricing and Availability
Essenza by Bassocontinuo has not published retail pricing for the Essenza Isola; interested buyers can request a quote through the brand’s authorized dealer network via the Genesis Line product page. Both Essenza Isola versions are listed as currently available in the Stormy Black finish.
