beyerdynamic has introduced the AVENTHO Y, a new pair of wireless over-ear headphones built around the brand’s “Hear your Why” concept: the idea that music is deeply personal, used to motivate, focus or recharge throughout the day. The beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y was unveiled today at the ShowStoppers media reception ahead of IFA 2026 in Berlin, and comes in four expressive colourways designed to let listeners express a bit of their own identity through their gear.
Sound and Comfort Built for All-Day Use
At the core of the beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y is a dynamic 45mm driver tuned to deliver rich, detailed sound across genres, paired with an over-ear design that isolates the listener from ambient noise. Active Noise Cancellation can be switched on for even deeper isolation when it matters most, while the headphones remain comfortable enough for extended sessions thanks to easily replaceable ear pads.

Battery Life, Fast Charging and Seamless Connectivity
Battery life is a strong point for the beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y: up to 90 hours with ANC switched off, or more than 60 hours with ANC engaged. A fast-charging feature adds another 6 hours of playback from just 5 minutes on the charger, and the battery itself is user-replaceable, along with the ear cushions. Bluetooth® 6.0 with Multipoint support lets listeners switch seamlessly between two connected devices, whether moving between a laptop and a phone or between calls and music. An optional upgrade package, arriving in October, adds a USB-C dongle and a colour-matched boom microphone, turning the beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y into a full headset for calls and gaming.

Four Colours, One Personal Statement
Design plays a central role in the beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y story. The headphones launch in four colourways, each tied to a different emotional register: Peach Blush, Blue Fusion, Soft Jade and Liquid Black. “Music is something very personal. We associate it with memories, moods, and special moments,” said Kathrin Noe, Director of Global Marketing at beyerdynamic. “With the AVENTHO Y, we want to bring this connection to life in two ways: through the sound quality that beyerdynamic is known for, and a design that leaves room for personal expression.”

Visitors to IFA can try the beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y for themselves in Hall 5.3 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the ShowStoppers preview, or at the Hama booth (No. 147) in Hall 4.2 once the show floor opens. On September 6, the AVENTHO Y also makes an appearance at the Flying Steps’ Backyard Battles dance event, where visitors can test the headphones and enter a raffle to win a pair.
This is beyerdynamic’s latest wireless release following the brand’s MMX 100 and MMX 130 wireless headsets, continuing its push into everyday, lifestyle-oriented wireless audio alongside its long-established studio and gaming lines.
