Apple HomeView marks the company’s first dedicated entry into the smart home display category, a $299 device built around a tablet-style touchscreen and a HomePod-style speaker base. Apple describes Apple HomeView as “the new heart of your home,” and it is easy to see why: the device blends a built-in AI assistant, room-filling sound and full Apple Home control into a single countertop or wall-mounted unit, aimed squarely at households already invested in Apple’s ecosystem. Pre-orders are open now ahead of a November 13 launch.
Siri AI Takes Center Stage
Apple HomeView is the first product built around Siri AI, a more personal and more powerful assistant powered by Apple Intelligence. It draws on calendar invites, messages and other personal context from a paired iPhone or iPad to surface what matters most, while Private Cloud Compute processes requests on Apple silicon without storing user data. Because the device is designed to be shared, an A18 chip with Secure Exclaves lets HomeView recognize up to six household members by face and voice, showing each person’s own content without ever exposing the raw camera or microphone feed to the operating system.

A Home Automation Hub With Serious Sound
Beyond the assistant, HomeView is built to run the household. It is fully integrated with the Home app, letting residents check video feeds, lock doors, adjust lighting and temperature, and trigger scenes and automations from the Home Modular or Home Camera faces. The device can even listen for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and push alerts straight to a connected iPhone or Apple Watch. On the audio side, two custom full-range drivers sit behind the display while a down-firing woofer and two force-cancelling passive radiators live in the base, delivering room-filling Spatial Audio. AirPlay ties HomeView into a wider system alongside the HomePod and Apple TV 4K for true multiroom sound.

Built for the Whole Household
HomeView also doubles as a communication and family hub. Center Stage keeps everyone framed during FaceTime calls, a four-microphone array isolates voices from background noise, and Intercom connects rooms or personal devices like iPhone and Apple Watch. A collection of customizable faces, from a rotating Photos gallery to the reactive Flow artwork, Snoopy, Calendar and Weather, lets every member of the household make the display their own, while Handoff carries a song, call or recipe seamlessly from iPhone to HomeView.

Apple HomeView is priced at $299, with identical pricing for the standard desk-stand version and the wall-mounted version. Pre-orders are open now through Apple’s online and retail channels, with availability starting November 13.
