Aequo Audio brings the Ensium to the Dutch Audio Event 2026 (10-11 October, NH Koningshof, Veldhoven), where the Dutch nanotechnology specialist will demonstrate its bass-assisted three-way floorstander in Room 8. Aequo Audio Ensium is the bigger, more sensitive sibling of the brand’s Adamantis flagship, built around the same Diluvite Nanocast cabinet technology that first put Aequo Audio on the map at High End Munich 2025.
Aequo Audio Ensium’s Cabinet Turns Vibration Into Heat
The core of Aequo Audio Ensium is its cast Nanocast-MMC cabinet, a proprietary nano-material that Aequo Audio says is twice as stiff as aluminium and offers ten times better damping, converting vibrations into heat evenly across the entire audible range, from 1Hz up to 100kHz. Because the shape is cast rather than built from panels, Aequo Audio was able to give Ensium the sharply curved, resonance-free enclosure that defines the brand’s loudspeakers, with eleven high-strength bolts holding the Nanocast-MMC shell and Nanocast-PMC inserts together.

ARPEC Tunes Bass to the Room Without Digital Signal Processing
Alongside the cabinet, Aequo Audio’s proprietary ARPEC (Analog Room Adjustment System) is the feature the brand is leaning on hardest at the Dutch Audio Event. ARPEC adds current to the incoming signal’s low-frequency content entirely in the analog domain, acting like a dedicated bass amplifier whose output is tuned with two stepless rotators on each cabinet — one for room size, from XXS to XXL, and one for placement, from a corner to free-standing. Aequo Audio says this keeps time and phase alignment intact in a way DSP-based room correction cannot, while still letting Aequo Audio Ensium adapt to difficult rooms within minutes.

Driver-wise, Aequo Audio Ensium pairs its fully symmetric SF40 tweeter — equipped with the brand’s Enhanced Horizontal Dispersion Lens for a wide, holographic soundstage — with a 5-inch mineral-filled composite mid-bass driver and a 10.5-inch subwoofer with a mineral-coated alloy cone. Sensitivity is rated at 91dB at 8 ohms, with a quoted frequency range of 16Hz to 45kHz and a maximum linear output above 116dB, depending on ARPEC settings. At the show, Ensium will be driven by a system built around a Taiko Audio server, Playback Designs’ Dream series MPT-8 transport and MPD-8 DAC, and Westminster Lab’s Quest preamplifier and Rei monoblocks.
Pricing and availability
Aequo Audio has not published a retail price for Aequo Audio Ensium; as with the rest of the range, pricing is available on request through the brand’s dealer network. Full specifications and finish options are listed on Aequo Audio’s own Ensium product page. Visitors can hear the Rosewood-finish pair, along with the full demonstration system, in Room 8 at the Dutch Audio Event on 10 and 11 October.
