Apollo X Gen 2 are the new and improved refresh to the original Apollo X Series rack-mount and desktop interface family. The new interfaces offer a refresh of the Twin X and x4 desktop interfaces as well as the x6, x8, x8p, x16 rack-mount interfaces.
The new models feature the following improvements:

- Improved D/A conversion and monitor/headphone outputs for best-in-class critical listening
- Hear next generation audio conversion with the widest dynamic range and lowest distortion of any Apollo
- Assistive Auto-Gain for inputs and select Unison™ preamps from API, Neve and SSL:
- Note: Auto-Gain works with Apollo X Gen 2 Thunderbolt Audio Interfaces only.
- Unison plug-ins that can be used with Auto-Gain:
API Preamp, API Vision Channel Strip, API Vision Channel Strip Legacy, Neve Preamp,Neve 1073 Preamp & EQ, Neve 1084 Preamp & EQ, Neve 88RS Channel Strip, SSL 4000E Channel Strip.
- Bass Management for Satellite and Subwoofer Speaker Integration, compatible with all Apollo X Gen 1 and Gen 2 audio interfaces
- Supported modes: Stereo, 2.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 5.1.4, 7.1.4 and 9.1.6.
- Coming in November 2024, Apollo Monitor Correction powered by Sonarworks® compatible with Apollo X Gen 1 and Gen 2 audio interfaces.
