French artist duo Joanie Lemercier and Juliette Bibasse will deliver a keynote at Spark 2027, the creative technology event of the team behind Integrated Systems Europe. The Brussels-based artists, who created the 2027 façade mapping of Gaudí’s Casa Batlló, will take the stage on 3 February 2027 in Barcelona.
Spark 2027: The Art of And
Spark 2027 takes place on 3 and 4 February in Hall 8 at Fira de Barcelona, Montjuïc. The event is a platform for the people, ideas and technologies that shape content production in the creative industries, from broadcast and live events to film, gaming, design and immersive experiences. This year’s theme is The Art of And, which looks at how creative disciplines, technologies and production approaches come together to create new forms of content and audience experiences.
Spark runs alongside ISE 2027, which takes place from 2 to 5 February at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via. We wrote earlier about the campaign behind that show in our article ISE 2027: When Worlds Unite.

From Casa Batlló to the keynote stage
The keynote follows the annual façade mapping of Casa Batlló, commissioned by Casa Batlló Contemporary, on 30 and 31 January 2027. Lemercier and Bibasse create the work together with Catalan singer and composer Maria Arnal, who co-writes the music and performs live. Using light, large-scale projection and an original composition, the piece offers a new interpretation of Gaudí’s architectural masterpiece.
The mapping is a free public art event, now in its sixth edition. Previous editions featured artists such as Refik Anadol, Sofia Crespo, Quayola and United Visual Artists. ISE is a principal sponsor of the project.
“The creative industries are evolving rapidly, with technology opening up new ways to tell stories, engage audiences and bring ideas to life,” says Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events. “Joanie Lemercier and Juliette Bibasse bring a particularly compelling perspective on the relationship between art and technology.”

Pioneers of projection art
Joanie Lemercier is a pioneer of architectural video mapping. In 2006 he co-founded the AntiVJ collective, which helped establish projection as an artistic medium, and he has created stage designs and installations with artists such as Jay-Z, Flying Lotus and Adrian Utley of Portishead. His recent work focuses on projecting onto transparent materials and water mist, with a more resource-conscious approach.
Juliette Bibasse brings expertise in artistic direction and curating. She has worked as a curator for STRP Festival in Eindhoven and LLUM Barcelona, and in 2020 she initiated a light art walk for the city of Leuven. Together, the duo presented solo exhibitions such as Paisajes de Luz at Fundación Telefónica in Madrid, and in 2024 they co-founded the Solar Lab for sun- and wind-powered experiments.

Two stages: Arena and Forum
The Spark 2027 programme is built around two stages. Spark Arena hosts keynotes and in-depth conversations with leading thinkers and practitioners in creativity, content and technology. Spark Forum offers a free programme with practical insights, new tools and new approaches from the creative and technology communities. Topics include AI, XR, virtual production and interactive media.
