Samsung announced the Galaxy A27 5G on June 25th, the latest addition to its popular Galaxy A series. As the successor to the Galaxy A26 5G, the device focuses on a smoother viewing experience, stronger everyday performance, and an expanded set of AI features, bringing Samsung’s smart capabilities to a wider audience.
A Bigger Screen, Fewer Distractions
The Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Its Infinity-O display has been further refined with a smaller, less noticeable punch-hole camera cutout, while the surrounding bezel has been slimmed down and better balanced. The result is more usable screen space with fewer visual distractions. At just 7.8 mm thick and weighing 200 grams, the device is also designed to feel comfortable in hand.
Stronger Everyday Performance
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform delivers noticeably faster response times when switching between apps and multitasking. An improved GPU produces smoother graphics during gaming and streaming, while faster memory enables quicker data transfer and lower power consumption. On the front, a 12 MP camera offers brighter, more natural-looking selfies even in varying lighting conditions.
Awesome Intelligence Gets Smarter and More Versatile
Samsung continues to expand the device’s AI capabilities. Circle to Search with Google now supports multi-object recognition, allowing users to search for several items within a single image at once, from clothing to accessories, with the option to virtually try on clothing directly from the search results.
Object Eraser has become more precise, producing more natural-looking edits when removing unwanted elements from photos. Meanwhile, Voice Transcription within the Voice Recorder app can now translate in real time across 22 languages, making note-taking easier.
The device also supports multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini and Perplexity, with deeper integration into native Samsung apps such as Gallery. Bixby is also available as a voice assistant, letting users control settings and features through natural language.
Long-Term Support and Security
Samsung is committing to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, along with up to six years of security updates from the device’s global launch, keeping it secure and up to date for years to come. Samsung Knox and the hardware-level protection of Knox Vault safeguard sensitive data, making the Galaxy A27 5G both user-friendly and secure.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is available in the Benelux starting June 25th, in Black, Blue, and Light Pink. The 128GB model carries a suggested retail price of €349, while the 256GB model is priced at €439. Samsung Care+ is also available, offering tailored extended coverage to protect the value of the device.
