Presto Music has confirmed full integration with Linn, bringing the specialist classical and jazz streaming service directly into the Linn app and, by extension, onto Linn’s entire range of network music players and amplifiers. The Presto Music Linn integration means owners of Linn hardware can now browse, select, and play Presto Music’s full catalogue without leaving the Linn app’s own interface, following a similar rollout the retailer completed with Focal and Naim devices earlier this month.
Presto Music built its reputation on specialist classical, jazz, and audiophile curation, and the retailer frames the Linn partnership as a natural extension of that mission. “This partnership brings together Presto Music’s specialist expertise in classical, jazz and audiophile listening with Linn’s legendary engineering and half a century of devotion to musical performance,” said Chris O’Reilly, Chief Executive of Presto Music. “From the Sondek LP12 to the world’s first high-resolution network music players, Linn’s association with the music world runs as deep as ours.” Linn, for its part, points to Presto’s editorial focus as the fit that mattered most: “Their specialist focus on classical and jazz, expert human curation and commitment to high-resolution streaming make Presto a natural fit for listeners who care deeply about both music and how it sounds,” said Joe Rodger, Brand Manager at Linn.
What the Presto Music Linn integration adds
The Presto Music Linn integration is built directly into the Linn app, the control software Linn designs in-house for its network music players, so browsing, selecting, and playing music through Presto Music feels native rather than bolted on through a separate DLNA or Chromecast route. Streaming quality goes up to 24-bit/192kHz, and the arrangement keeps Presto Music’s Fair Play remuneration model intact for the artists, composers, and labels behind the recordings. Linn app users who are new to Presto Music can also claim an extended free trial of the streaming service through a link inside the app itself, giving Linn owners a low-friction way to sample the catalogue before committing to a subscription.
Getting started
Existing Presto Music subscribers with Linn hardware need to update the Linn app to iOS version 4.8.16.0 or Android 4.10.2.1 (or later), and make sure their Linn device is running Davaar 118 firmware or newer. From there, the Presto Music Linn integration is enabled from the app’s Explore tab: open the settings cog, toggle Presto Music on under Music Streaming, and log in with an existing Presto Music account. Once signed in, Presto Music appears alongside the app’s other streaming sources in the Explore view, ready to browse and play like any other native Linn source.

Presto Music itself is available now on mobile (iOS and Android), desktop (macOS and Windows), and via web browsers, with subscription pricing set by Presto Music rather than Linn; new users can start a free trial directly through the service before deciding on a paid plan. The Presto Music Linn integration is the second major hardware tie-up Presto Music has announced in as many weeks, following its integration with Focal and Naim devices, and points to a broader push by the retailer to make its classical and jazz catalogue available natively across more high-end streaming ecosystems.
