Presto Music, the classical and jazz specialist streaming service, is now natively integrated with Focal & Naim’s streaming platform. The connect-style integration lets Presto Music’s high-resolution catalogue play directly on Naim’s Mu-so, Uniti and dedicated streamer range, without routing audio through a phone’s local output first.
A Connect-Style Integration Built With Naim’s Own R&D Team
The integration was developed over several months in direct collaboration with Naim Audio’s R&D department, and works the way Spotify Connect or Tidal Connect already do on Focal & Naim systems: playback is handed over to the Naim device, while listeners keep browsing booklets, editorial content, and the rest of the Presto Music catalogue from their phone or desktop app. “This partnership brings together Presto Music’s specialist expertise in classical, jazz and audiophile listening with Naim’s renowned streaming architecture and award-winning audio performance,” said Chris O’Reilly, Chief Executive of Presto Music. Paul Buzza from Focal & Naim R&D added that the integration gives the brand’s community “direct access to one of the finest high-resolution classical and jazz catalogues available today.”
Part of a Wider Push into Multi-Room Streaming
The Focal & Naim integration lands the same day Presto Music confirmed a parallel connect integration with Linn, and follows earlier partnerships with Bluesound and other streaming hardware makers. For Naim specifically, it extends a platform that already carries Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and internet radio, adding a source aimed squarely at listeners who buy full classical recordings and box sets rather than algorithmic playlists.
Getting Started
Presto Music is available with a Naim or Focal streamer once both sides of the connection are current: listeners need Presto Music app version 2.39.0 or later, and Focal & Naim hardware running the latest firmware. Naim notes that the firmware update lands for some Uniti models by mid-August 2026, and for Mu-so 2nd Generation owners by the end of August 2026. Once both are updated, the Naim or Focal device shows up under “Settings > Audio Devices” in the Presto Music app, or directly from the “Devices” link in the player. New Presto Music users connecting through the Focal & Naim app can also claim an extended free trial.
Pricing and availability
The Focal & Naim integration is a free firmware and app update for existing Naim and Focal streaming hardware owners; no new device purchase is required. Presto Music itself remains a subscription streaming service, now in its third year, with catalogue access and pricing detailed on Presto Music’s own site. The integration went live for the Focal & Naim app on 6 August 2026, alongside a separate integration with the Linn app announced the same day.
