TEAC expands its acclaimed Reference 500 Series with the launch of the NT-507T, a dedicated network streaming transport engineered purely for high-fidelity digital output. Priced at an MSRP of $2,499.99 (with availability starting December 2025 in silver or black finishes), this compact, mid-sized component delivers uncompromising streaming performance to external DACs via USB making it the ideal digital front-end for the TEAC UD-507 DAC/preamp or any high-end USB-equipped converter.
Bit-Perfect Delivery Without Internal Compromise
Unlike conventional all-in-one streamers, the NT-507T is built from the ground up as a no-DAC, no-analog transport. Its sole mission is pristine, bit-perfect USB digital transmission, supporting PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit and native DSD up to 22.5 MHz. This design eliminates internal conversion noise and jitter artifacts, allowing your chosen DAC to handle the analog reconstruction with maximum fidelity.
The transport pairs seamlessly with TEAC’s own UD-507 (featuring the proprietary discrete TRDD5 DAC circuitry) for reference-grade results from streaming services and local libraries. It also welcomes third-party USB DACs, offering flexibility for existing high-end setups.
TEAC Network Engine G4
At the core lies TEAC’s in-house Network Engine G4, a specialized high-end processor developed exclusively for audiophile streaming not a repurposed off-the-shelf chipset. This platform prioritizes signal integrity, ultra-precise timing, and minimal interference.
Power supply design follows suit: a large linear toroidal transformer with four independent windings feeds dedicated rails for the network circuitry, USB output, Wi-Fi module, and display/LEDs banishing switching noise that plagues many modern streamers. The result is dynamic, fluid, naturally expressive sound with a vinyl-like organic flow.
Versatile Connectivity for Modern and Legacy Networks
Network options are comprehensive and future-proof:
- Ethernet RJ45 for wired stability
- SFP optical input for galvanic isolation and ultra-low noise fiber connections
- Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax, dual-band 2.4/5 GHz) for convenient wireless streaming
Two USB ports (rear Type-A and front Type-C) support direct attachment of flash drives, HDDs, or SSDs, turning the NT-507T into a compact personal music server for local NAS-style playback.
Intuitive Streaming Control and Service Integration
TEAC emphasizes real-world usability in the streaming era. The NT-507T integrates natively with OpenHome-compatible control apps, including the dedicated TEAC HR Streamer app. A standout USB Volume Function allows direct remote volume adjustment of compatible connected DACs or preamps streamlining operation without extra hardware.
Supported high-res services include Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify Connect, TuneIn, and more. Full Roon Ready certification ensures seamless integration into advanced multi-room and high-resolution ecosystems.
The Reference 500 Series Continues to Impress
Joining siblings like the UD-507 DAC/preamp and recent PD-507T CD transport, the NT-507T reinforces TEAC’s commitment to premium, mid-sized components that blend Japanese engineering precision with audiophile-grade musicality. At 290 × 84.7 × 246 mm and weighing around 4.3 kg, it maintains the series’ elegant, rack-friendly footprint.
