This expansion marks a significant step in the company’s mission to meet rising global demand while preserving its legacy of craftsmanship and sonic excellence.
Fully integrated production hub
The Hamilton facility is a fully integrated production hub, designed to handle every aspect of loudspeaker creation—from precision cabinet construction and veneering to final assembly and rigorous quality testing. Equipped with modern technology, the site complements Lockwood’s commitment to artisanal excellence with a highly skilled local workforce trained in the art of hand-building premium loudspeakers. This investment not only boosts production capacity but also reinforces Lockwood’s dedication to supporting Scottish industry and British manufacturing traditions.
This new facility in Hamilton is a proud milestone for Lockwood, said CEO Danny Timms, the third-generation leader of the family-owned brand. Focus on manufacturing
While the Hamilton site focuses on manufacturing, Lockwood’s headquarters in Gerrards Cross, London, will remain the hub for Research & Development, Branding, Marketing, Special Operations, and dedicated demonstration spaces, ensuring continued innovation and leadership in high-fidelity audio design.
To support this expansion, Lockwood has appointed two industry veterans to key leadership roles. Andrew Provan joins as Operations Director, overseeing production and supply chain operations across the company’s UK facilities. Vince Wade steps in as Sales Director, tasked with driving international sales and expanding Lockwood’s global reach.
