Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries (DALI) has announced the launch of the SONIK loudspeaker series, described as the company’s most significant evolution since the award-winning OBERON lineup in 2018. The new range aims to deliver flagship-level performance at more accessible price points, targeting both seasoned audiophiles and design-conscious newcomers to hi-fi audio.
The SONIK series comprises seven models, offering options from compact bookshelf speakers to powerful floorstanders and dedicated home cinema solutions. Drawing heavily from technologies developed for DALI’s top-tier KORE, EPIKORE, and EPICON ranges, SONIK incorporates advanced driver designs, refined magnet systems, and sophisticated cabinet engineering to achieve exceptional clarity, dynamics, and musicality.
Dali SONIK key highlights
Key highlights include an ultra-light 29mm soft dome tweeter for wide dispersion and coherent midrange, low-loss wood-fiber cone drivers with Clarity Cone technology, and DALI’s patented SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) magnet system to minimize distortion. Higher models, such as the SONIK 7 and flagship SONIK 9, feature a hybrid tweeter module combining the dome with a planar ribbon for extended high-frequency detail and precision.
Cabinets are constructed from CNC-machined MDF with rigid bracing and individual driver chambers to reduce resonances, while dual-flare bass reflex ports ensure clean, timed low-end extension. Aesthetic updates include sleek aluminum tweeter faceplates, custom magnetic grilles, and finishes in Black Ash, Walnut, Natural Oak, and White.
The lineup includes:
- Standmount: SONIK 1 (ultra-compact) and SONIK 3 (fuller bass response)
- Floorstanding: SONIK 5 (slim profile), SONIK 7 (refined power), and SONIK 9 (three 7-inch drivers for scale)
- Specialized: SONIK ON-WALL (discreet with smart porting) and SONIK CINEMA (flexible orientation for home theater)
DALI makes loudspeakers for everyone, from KUPID to KORE and everything in-between, said Krestian Pedersen, DALI Head of Product Management. Our sound and design principles have always been most visible to music fans at the price point that SONIK hits, and we believe the range sets a new benchmark in performance for the price. We’re excited to launch SONIK worldwide and look forward to attracting even more DALI fans in 2026.
