Music is becoming an integral part of people’s lives, and the key to it all is convenience. It has to be easy, but without compromising on quality. Our goal with VEGA was to create a product that fits the way people live and access music in their daily lives.
Following five years of research and development, including extensive market studies, DALI engineered the VEGA specifically for design-conscious consumers seeking room-filling, high-resolution sound in a versatile single-box format suitable for lounges, kitchens, bedrooms, and dining areas.
Breakthrough Audio Technologies Inside the DALI VEGA
Every component in the VEGA has been developed in-house by DALI engineers. The system features ten custom drivers, including ultra-light 25mm soft dome tweeters with low-viscosity ferro-fluid and large rear chambers to minimize resonances. The bass-midrange drivers utilize a back-to-back configuration that significantly reduces cabinet vibrations while maintaining clarity and authority.
Power comes from a substantial 400-watt amplification system distributed across eight 50-watt channels. Paper and wood fibre cones, low-loss surrounds, and passive bass radiators combine to deliver deep, controlled low frequencies and a balanced, natural tonal presentation.
A standout innovation is DALI Adaptive Stereo Enhancement (ASE), a patent-pending technology that generates a wide, immersive soundstage from a single speaker. This intelligent processing adapts in real time to the audio signal, creating a panoramic listening experience without artificial artefacts or coloration.
Adaptive Placement and Exceptional Versatility
The VEGA excels in real-world environments through Adaptive Orientation Adjustment (AOA). Whether placed freestanding, wall-mounted in portrait or landscape orientation, the system automatically optimizes stereo imaging and spatial performance. Users can also select configurable placement modes to compensate for proximity to walls or corners, ensuring consistent sound quality across different room layouts.
This flexibility makes the VEGA an ideal solution for a wide variety of living spaces and installation scenarios.
Comprehensive Connectivity and Intuitive Operation
At the heart of the VEGA’s streaming capabilities lies the proven BluOS platform, supporting high-resolution wireless audio, multi-room integration, and access to popular services including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Apple AirPlay 2.
Additional connectivity options include HDMI, analogue, optical digital, USB audio, and Bluetooth, allowing seamless integration with TVs, turntables, and other sources. Five physical preset buttons provide instant access to favourite content, while the BluOS app unlocks extended customization. A sophisticated OLED display that automatically rotates with the unit’s orientation enhances the premium user experience.
The tactile volume control features a precision-engineered mechanism combining glass, acrylic, and anodised aluminium with an aerospace-grade ball-bearing system for smooth, satisfying operation.
Refined Design Meets High-End Craftsmanship
VEGA embodies modern luxury with real wood veneer finishes in Dark Oak and Natural Oak, complemented by anodised aluminium accents and custom woven fabrics. The result is a timeless piece that enhances rather than competes with interior décor.
