Features?

The DALI Epikore 3 speakers are designed to deliver exceptional sound quality with advanced features. Kore technology optimizes sound dispersion and clarity across the frequency range, ensuring a more immersive listening experience. The DALI EVO-K™ Hybrid Tweeter combines dome and ribbon technologies, providing detailed high frequencies with enhanced precision and smoothness. Close look?

The DALI Epikore 3 are impressive speakers. On the front side the baffle makes quite the impression. Top-down you’ll find the planar element, dome tweeter and a 7 inch bass/midrange driver. The beautiful curves make their way to the back. On top, there’s the continuous-flare bass reflex port. Below the connection terminals which offer the possibility to bi-wire or bi-amp the speakers.

For whom is this product?

The DALI Epikore 3 speakers are the ideal choice for audiophiles and serious music enthusiasts who demand high-quality sound with detailed clarity and deep bass. They suit those who appreciate advanced technology and premium construction, making them perfect for home audio setups in smaller rooms.

Conclusion?

The DALI Epikore 3 is a royal speaker. He communicates with such distinction. Highs are open, refined and soft on the ear. Midrange is transparent, layered and spacious. Bass is rich and reaches 30Hz easily. The bass reflex port provides a slightly firmer and fuller bass. The new 7-inch unit is fast and punchy. Soundstage is unexpectedly large considering the bookshelf format. The possibility of bi-wiring and bi-amping is an asset ! Build quality and finish are superb. Anyone looking for a detailed, yet refined sound profile should put this speaker on their shortlist. Although we would have liked a more reasonable price for the matching stands, together with the Epikore 3 speakers, they form a rock-solid duo.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Epikore 3 be bi-wired or bi-amped?

Yes — the connection terminals on the back support both bi-wiring and bi-amping, a flexibility the review calls a genuine asset for the speaker.

How deep does the Epikore 3’s bass go, and what shapes that?

Bass reaches down to around 30Hz with a rich, full character. The continuous-flare bass reflex port is designed for tight, deep bass with minimal turbulence, and the review notes it gives the low end a slightly firmer and fuller quality.

Do the matching Epikore 3 stands come at an extra cost, and is it worth it?

Yes — the stands are sold separately at 1.998 EUR per pair on top of the 9.998 EUR speakers, and while the review found that price steep, it still considers the pairing “a rock-solid duo.”

Is the Epikore 3 a good fit for smaller listening rooms?

Yes — it’s designed for compact spaces with wide dispersion, and despite the modest bookshelf format the review found its soundstage unexpectedly large.

What is DALI’s EVO-K Hybrid Tweeter?

A tweeter module that combines dome and ribbon technologies for detailed high frequencies with added precision and smoothness. On the baffle it sits as a planar element above the dome tweeter, with the 7-inch bass/midrange driver below.

Marco Lisi is the publisher of Best of High End, part of AV Concepts BV. His path into audio started early: as a teenager he was drawn into the world of free radio, presenting shows and living immersed in music every day. In his early twenties he ran his own production studio for five years, creating jingles and commercials — hands-on training in sound design, pro-audio workflows, and critical listening through studio monitors that still shapes how he evaluates gear today. He also spent years DJing in clubs before moving into publishing, first at two earlier online magazines before founding Best of High End. His hi-fi and home cinema passion was inherited from his father, an inveterate system-swapper. Marco's first setup — a confirmation gift — paired AKAI separates with entry-level Bowers & Wilkins speakers, a brand he stayed loyal to for years as his system grew from stereo into full surround and home cinema. Like many enthusiasts, he went through an extended "audiophile" phase chasing the next upgrade, before settling into a more grounded view: gear as a means to enjoy music and film, not an end in itself. Years of critical listening have given him a well-trained ear — the ability to characterize a system or pinpoint a change in the chain quickly and accurately. Just as important, his teaching background (a Belgian "regent" degree in Dutch language) gives him the tools to translate those listening impressions into clear, readable writing.
