Creative Technology has introduced the Creative XF1, a Hi-Res Extreme Fidelity desktop speaker built to bring audiophile-grade sound to the desk without eating up space. Aimed at listeners who care about both sound quality and aesthetics, the Creative XF1 combines 72W RMS of bi-amplified power with dual Hi-Res Audio certification, Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC, USB-C audio and a dedicated subwoofer output for future expansion. Personalisation comes through the companion Creative Nexus app, which adds a 10-band parametric EQ and more than 120 presets, letting the Creative XF1 adapt instantly to music, movies and games.

Bi-Amplified Power Behind the Creative XF1
At the core of the Creative XF1 is a fully active 2-way design with DSP control and dedicated amplification for each driver, a layout intended to reduce distortion and keep tonal balance consistent as volume changes. Each speaker houses a bespoke FEA-optimized 3-inch woofer (2 x 26W RMS) and a ¾-inch tweeter (2 x 10W RMS), for a combined 72W RMS output across a 55Hz-40kHz frequency range, with THD+N under 1% and a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 85dB. Creative says the goal is to surface detail that many compact 2.0 speakers in this price bracket miss. A detachable cork stand angles each XF1 cabinet 15 degrees toward the listener, adding a warm accent while damping desk resonance.

Hi-Res Connectivity and the Creative Nexus App for the Creative XF1
The Creative XF1 carries dual Hi-Res Audio certification, supporting playback up to 40kHz over USB audio and analog line-in, plus Hi-Res Audio Wireless over LDAC via Bluetooth 6.0. Users can stream wirelessly or connect via USB-C for up to 24-bit/96kHz playback, with a 3.5mm AUX input and a dedicated subwoofer output that auto-switches modes, giving buyers a plug-and-play path today and a 2.1 upgrade later. Software control runs through the Creative Nexus app (Windows, iOS, Android), which layers a 10-band parametric EQ, preset management and a Desktop listening mode on top of the hardware, with over 120 in-house EQ presets spanning roughly 20 music genres and close to 100 games. The Creative XF1 ships in black or white to suit different desk setups. For a look at how another compact desktop system is built, see our coverage of the Chord Electronics Qutest desktop system.
