German loudspeaker manufacturer Canton has officially unveiled the new Vento series, the seventh generation of its popular premium hi-fi line. Presented in early May 2026 at the company headquarters in Weilrod, Taunus, the refreshed lineup emphasizes flowing, modern design, improved sound dispersion, and meticulous German craftsmanship while maintaining the series’ signature balance of performance and living-room integration.
Design: Bow-Shaped Elegance with Acoustic Benefits
The new Vento models feature a refined “bow” (bug) shape with gently rounded front and rear surfaces. This design not only creates a timeless, elegant silhouette but also minimizes diffraction for cleaner sound dispersion. Cabinets use multi-layer curved MDF construction for high rigidity and reduced resonances, supported by internal chamber systems and targeted damping.
A standout visual and functional element is the new transmission front plate, which frames the familiar round tweeter in a modern square-inspired waveguide. Softly rounded edges blend technology seamlessly with the cabinet’s curves. Magnetic fabric grilles complete the clean look. Finishes include options like black, white, and walnut variants.
