Bumpboxx has launched the Retroboom, a modern take on the classic boombox that pairs vintage styling with 200 watts of peak power and up to 30 hours of battery life. The Bumpboxx Retroboom is available now in three colorways, Radical Red, Classic Silver, and Onyx Black, each priced at $269.
Vintage Looks, Serious Power
Inspired by the classic boombox era, the Retroboom blends retro design cues, a chunky carry handle, round control knobs, and dual oversized driver grilles, with genuinely modern audio hardware. Dual 5.25-inch mid-bass speakers and dual 1.2-inch full-range tweeters handle the sound, backed by dual illuminated passive radiators that add visual flair while reinforcing low-end output.
Built for All-Day, Outdoor Use
With up to 30 hours of playtime on a charge and an IPX6 water-resistant rating, the Retroboom is built to handle a full day outdoors without needing to be babied around moisture. A built-in power bank lets it double as a charger for a phone or other USB device, while a padded shoulder strap makes it easier to carry between locations, true to its boombox roots.
Modern Controls Hidden in a Retro Shell
A 2.8-inch full-color display and illuminated volume, bass, and treble controls bring the Retroboom’s interface up to date, while five-mode reactive RGB lighting and three EQ sound presets round out the feature set. True wireless stereo pairing lets two units link together for a bigger sound field, and the included rechargeable wireless microphone turns the speaker into an impromptu karaoke or announcement system. USB-C charging keeps it in line with current accessories rather than relying on an older connector.
