Bluesound has brought the Pulse Cinema Mini to market, the compact half of the two-model Pulse Cinema soundbar line-up the brand first previewed a year ago. The Bluesound Pulse Cinema Mini is a 2.1-channel soundbar built for condos, bedrooms, dens and any room where a full home theater rack does not fit, pairing a low-profile aluminum chassis with Dolby Atmos processing and Bluesound’s own BluOS streaming platform.
Compact Chassis, Full BluOS Integration
Where many compact soundbars trade features for size, the Bluesound Pulse Cinema Mini keeps the brand’s full multi-room ambitions intact. Built-in BluOS lets owners stream high-resolution audio and MQA content, control playback from a phone or tablet, and group the soundbar with other Bluesound speakers such as the PULSE M and PULSE FLEX for whole-home listening. The unit is also ready for custom-install integration, working with Control4, Crestron and RTI systems out of the box, and it automatically senses its orientation to optimize sound whether it sits on a credenza or is wall-mounted below a screen.
Setup is designed to skip a separate receiver entirely: HDMI eARC, optical and analog RCA inputs connect straight to a TV, and a wall-mount bracket is included in the box. A smart DSP amplifier automatically adjusts the sound profile based on how the soundbar is placed, and the whole system is managed through the BluOS Controller app once it is plugged in.
280 Watts and Virtualized Atmos in a Small Footprint
Inside the chassis, the Bluesound Pulse Cinema Mini packs six angled drivers and 280 watts of total system power: two 38-watt tweeters, two 38-watt mid-range drivers and two 65-watt woofers, backed by a pair of passive radiators for low-end reinforcement. Dolby Atmos processing virtualizes height effects without add-on speakers, aiming to widen the soundstage for movies, games and music alike. Bluesound quotes support for Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD alongside Atmos, native sampling rates up to 192kHz, DSD256 playback, and file support spanning FLAC, MQA, ALAC, WAV and AIFF.
For owners who want to grow the system later, it has a dedicated subwoofer output for a wired or wireless PULSE SUB+, and it can be paired with PULSE M or PULSE FLEX speakers to build out a 4.1-channel wireless surround setup, all still managed from the single BluOS app.
