Beats has built its reputation on over-ear headphones, but the new Beats 360 marks a genuine departure for the brand: its first headphone with fully interchangeable ear and headband cushions. Announced today, Beats 360 pairs that personalization with what Beats calls its most advanced acoustic performance and noise cancelling to date, positioning the $349.99 headphone as the new flagship above Beats Studio Pro.
A New Platform for Sound and Comfort
At the core of Beats 360 sits a bespoke acoustic platform built around custom-designed drivers, each using a sensitive three-layer diaphragm and dual neodymium magnets for what Beats describes as powerful bass with ultra-low distortion. Active Noise Cancelling has also been overhauled, with Beats citing up to 1.75x more total noise cancellation than Beats Studio Pro, alongside a Transparency mode and continuously adapting Adaptive EQ. Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking and Dolby Atmos support round out the listening experience, powered by an accelerometer and gyroscope built into the left earcup.

Interchangeable Cushions, Made to Order
The headline feature is customization. Beats 360 ships standard with Performance Knit ear and headband cushions, but owners can swap in additional cushion kits in either breathable Performance Knit — built from diamond-knit strands for durability during workouts — or seamless UltraPlush engineered leather, the same material used on Beats Studio Pro and Beats Solo 4. A reworked “balanced fit architecture” headband, freed of internal cable routing thanks to the wireless-first design, is engineered to keep weight and tension evenly distributed for long listening sessions. Beats 360 also becomes the brand’s first over-ear headphone with sweat and water resistance, carrying an IPX4 rating.
Connectivity runs on a custom Beats chip with Class 1 Bluetooth 5.3, giving the headphone equal footing across Apple and Android devices. Apple users get one-touch pairing, always-on Hey Siri, Audio Sharing and Find My support, while Android owners get Fast Pair and Find Hub integration. Nine MEMS microphones are split across noise cancelling and call pickup, with a dedicated beam-forming mic for voice clarity.

Pricing and Availability
Beats 360 is available to order starting today for $349.99 from apple.com in the U.S. and more than 100 countries and regions, arriving in four core colors — Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky — each paired with matching Performance Knit cushions. In-store availability follows on September 24. Separate Beats 360 Cushion Kits, covering both ear and headband cushions, are also available now: Performance Knit in six colors (Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt) at a standard $49.99, and UltraPlush in Black and Cloud. For a limited time, select markets can pick up cushion kits at an introductory $9.99. Beats says it can deliver up to 32 hours of battery life with Adaptive EQ, or up to 32 hours with ANC and Personalized Spatial Audio active, and a five-minute Fast Fuel charge adds roughly an hour of playback. It follows the brand’s recent Powerbeats Pro 2 as the latest sign that Beats is pushing further into premium, feature-rich territory rather than staying purely lifestyle-focused. Full details are in Beats’ official announcement.
