Argon Audio BERLIN SUB is no longer a single model. The Danish brand has expanded its subwoofer line with the BERLIN SUB 10 and BERLIN SUB 12, two compact, DSP-driven subwoofers built around the same design language and wireless platform that already earned the original BERLIN SUB an EISA Best Buy Subwoofer award. Both models promise the deep, room-filling low end of a much larger subwoofer, packed into a clean, cube-shaped cabinet that disappears into a living room rather than dominating it.
Compact Cabinets, Serious Output
Under the Scandinavian-designed shell, the BERLIN SUB 10 houses a 10-inch long-stroke woofer driven by a 500-watt RMS (1,200-watt peak) Class D amplifier, reaching down to 14Hz. Its larger sibling, the BERLIN SUB 12, steps up to a 12-inch long-stroke woofer in a slightly bigger sealed cabinet, extending bass response to 13Hz while keeping the same amplifier power. Both subwoofers are finished in black matte lacquer, white matte lacquer or walnut veneer, and rest on the same neat, four-legged stance that keeps the footprint small.
The Argon Audio BERLIN SUB Approach to Wireless Bass
Both subwoofers share Argon Audio’s MATRIX Wireless™ platform, which continuously scans the wireless environment and locks onto the most stable connection once an optional Matrix transmitter is paired with compatible speakers, freeing placement from cable runs. Timing is handled by Real Time Bass™, a low-latency processing chain, as little as 0.19 milliseconds over a wired connection, designed to keep the subwoofer tightly synchronised with the main speakers rather than working against them. A companion feature, Speakermatch™, automatically tunes the handover between subwoofer and speakers, while an adjustable 3-band notch filter EQ and a 0-10 metre delay setting let owners correct for room modes and speaker distance without a separate calibration microphone.

Argon Audio positions the BERLIN SUB 10 as the more discreet option for smaller rooms and stereo or soundbar setups, while the BERLIN SUB 12 is aimed at home cinema systems and larger spaces that need extra scale for film soundtracks and gaming. Both integrate with the wider BERLIN, FORTE and FENRIS active-speaker ranges, and Argon Audio is bundling a 10 percent discount when a subwoofer is purchased alongside compatible speakers from the same collection.
