German turntable manufacturer Acoustic Signature is exhibiting at the Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show 2026, running from 7 to 9 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Acoustic Signature Hong Kong presence is run through the brand’s local distributor, Purist Audio, in meeting room S226, and brings together five models from the NEO turntable range, giving visitors a chance to hear the brand’s current anniversary-year lineup outside of Germany.
Five NEO Turntables on the Hong Kong Show Floor
The Acoustic Signature Hong Kong room splits its programme between static display and active demonstration. The Merlin NEO, Hurricane NEO and Double X NEO will be shown as static exhibits, while the Thirty NEO – one of Acoustic Signature’s two 30th-anniversary models – and the TA-5000 NEO tonearm will run as a fully active demo system for the duration of the show. For visitors used to seeing turntables under glass at a typical show booth, having a current-generation NEO model spinning records for three full days is the more useful test: it is one thing to read a spec sheet, another to hear the Silencer platter and DuraTurn Diamond bearing at work in a live room.
A 30th-Anniversary Backdrop
Acoustic Signature is marking its 30th anniversary this year, and the Hong Kong appearance follows the recent introduction of two dedicated anniversary turntables, the Merlin NEO and the Thirty NEO, alongside a new optional external motor unit, the DMC-50. The brand credits three core in-house technologies for its reputation in the segment: the Silencer platter with Constraint Layer Damping (CLD), the maintenance-free DuraTurn Diamond bearing, and the AVC (Automatic Vibration Control) system, which measures and corrects vibration in real time. Every Acoustic Signature turntable, tonearm and cartridge is still manufactured and hand-assembled at the company’s own CNC facility in Suessen, Germany – including a new five-axis precision milling machine, delivered earlier this year, that the company says was heavy and large enough to require a purpose-built loading dock gate before it could be installed.
Recent Recognition
The Acoustic Signature Hong Kong showcase arrives on the back of a strong run of industry recognition: the TA-10000 NEO tonearm was named Tonearm of the Year in The Absolute Sound’s Product of the Year Awards 2026, while the Merlin NEO and TA-500 NEO picked up an Editor’s Choice award from Stereophile in July 2026. Acoustic Signature also recently introduced the Tango Apex NEO, a balanced phono preamplifier, rounding out a busy year for the German manufacturer, and giving Hong Kong visitors a broader picture of the brand than the turntables alone would suggest. Taken together, the awards, the new anniversary models and the electronics launch make the Hong Kong stop less of a routine trade show appearance and more of a checkpoint on a genuinely active product cycle.
