Grado Labs, renowned for its handcrafted headphones and special collector’s editions, has produced its most exclusive piece to date: a unique, one-of-a-kind Signature S550 built to support autism awareness and raise funds for Eden II Programs.
For nearly 30 years, Grado Labs has been a dedicated supporter of Eden II Programs. Richard Grado has played a deeply personal role in the organization, serving 14 years on the Board of Directors and four years as Board Chair.
Eden II Programs, based in Staten Island, has provided education, residential services, and community programs for individuals with autism across New York City and Long Island since 1976. This year, the organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Grado Signature S550
The custom headphone is based on Grado’s acclaimed Signature S550, featuring Brazilian walnut housings and the brand’s latest S2 dynamic drivers tuned for a warm, open, and fatigue-free listening experience with excellent detail and musicality. What makes this example truly singular is the hand-painted artwork on the housing, created by a participant from Eden II Programs — transforming the headphone into a wearable piece of art and a powerful symbol of creativity and inclusion.
Only one unit exists. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to Eden II Programs to support its vital services for children and adults with autism.
Auction time
The auction is now live on the Eden II website and will conclude on April 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET. The highest bidder will take home this entirely unique Grado headphone.
