The SVS Newsweek recognition is in: the American subwoofer and loudspeaker specialist from Youngstown, Ohio, has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Online Shops 2027. The ranking, compiled with market research company Statista, puts SVS among the 18 shops with the highest overall scores in the Consumer Electronics category. For a brand that sells most of its products directly to customers online, that is a meaningful result.
SVS Newsweek ranking: 500 shops out of more than 9,500
Newsweek and Statista started from a pool of more than 9,500 online shops and selected 500 for the final list. Each shop was rated on 46 criteria, grouped into eight dimensions: Trust and Security, Purchase and Delivery, Structure and Usability, Service and Communication, Payment, Technical Details, Likelihood of Purchase and Traffic Growth.
The scores do not come from a jury alone. Statista surveyed more than 3,000 online shoppers and analysed more than 24,000 reviews, so the SVS Newsweek result reflects how real customers experience buying from the brand.
“Major validation” for SVS
SVS President Gary Yacoubian sees the listing as confirmation of the company’s approach. “This is a massive step forward for SVS and major validation for how we support and engage with our community,” he says. According to Yacoubian, the honour is a testament to what makes SVS special.
